Purchased this and it arrived within a week! Love how much it can hold & how durable it is. Used it to carry ammo & targets already & it holds up nicely. Cant wait to use it more often!

I’ve been a cop for about a year and I finally got this duty bag. I used a 5.11 large backpack for way too long and it sucked. This duty bag is good quality and most people at my department use this same one. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I am a train conductor, this gear bag has ample space on the inside that fits all my items,flashlights, rainsuit, xtra batteries,safety glasses,gloves and all my books and a ridiculous amount of paper work that are mandatory to carry by the federal railroad administration and other host railroads and I still have plenty of space for my lunch.On the outside it has two individual pockets that each fit a 24 oz bottle of water and 3 more huge compartments. every item in my 5.11 bag is easy to access.no more fumbling around. I own other name brand backpacks. The 5.11 patrol ready bag is less than half the cost of those bags and out performs them hands down.A lot of the other conductors complement me on my 5.11 bag, nice looking and durable. Ive been searching for a great gear bag This 5.11 bag will be the last bag I use. All those other expensive name brand back packs that I purchased are at the bottom of my closet.Thank-you 5.11

Looks like a great bag, but is not what the page suggests and will not suit my needs because of this. Bag is much larger than they specify - 18.5 x 12 x 8 are the inside dimensions of the large pocket and do not account for the external pockets. Actual size is more like 22 x 9 x 12 (they spec L x H x W rather than L x W x H). Also, the third product image shows what looks to be a removable carrier segmented into 3 even sections and a bag. These are nowhere to be found. The internal dividers are velcrod in place and while removable, are not adjustable. There is only velcro installed in specific places and you cannot reconfigure the internal dividers. See photos for layout - is not what you would expect given image 3 above. One more caveat, the id holder window is not prominently displayed on the front as the image suggests but alone by itself on the back of the bag. There are pockets on the inside of the lid that arent shown in the product page (they are a nice touch and look useful, but another deviation from what was described). Outside of not being what they advertised, the bag looks awesome. Well made, strong velcro, pockets in the right places. Actually very annoyed it will not work for my application due to size and internal configuration.

I am a truck driver who is home daily. I have had this for several months. All the zippers still work perfectly! No tears. The divider allows me to keep my clipboard and log book vertical rather than flat, so theyre not on top of or on bottom of anything. Problem solved! The curved shoulder strap is great. No problems with the clips for the strap. Lots of smaller pockets. I am super happy with this bag! No problems whatsoever. Worth every penny.

As a LEO, this bag is about as essential to me as any other gear I carry on my person. It holds all of the following gear (and more): two file folders for paperwork/forms/ticket books that I use daily, drug testing kit, digital scale, digital camera, clipboards, in-car printer paper, hand sanitizer wipes/bottles, pens, cuff keys, cuffs, tourniquets, extra pocket notebooks, traffic vest, winter gloves/hat, extra cell phone chargers/cables, one of my back-up guns/ extra mags... I have never used the shoulder strap- I just lug it by the handles every shift, and its been great. The velcro has held its grip on pockets that I frequent, and I havent seen a single snag in the canvas exterior from daily use. Sure, its bulky, but I love having everything while on patrol that I need right next to me and right where its supposed to be. Bottom line: itll hold just about everything except a long gun. I couldnt effectively serve my city without this bag holding 99% of my gear/paperwork/etc. Its worth it.

Im extremely happy with this purchase. I work police patrol 8 to 10 hours a shift and this bag holds up perfectly. Its very roomy its extremely sturdy I love that it holds all my bottles of water and all my gear, paperwork, tools that I need, extra flashlights, pens, extra handcuffs and more with no problem! Ive only have the bag for a couple of months so I cant really attest to how durable it will be over this test of time, but I have been in law enforcement for many years and I can tell this bag will have no problem serving me for years to come. It arrived SUPER QUICK and Ive gotten alot of compliments on it! The velcro top is a sweet touch for all my badass patches too!

The bag pretty much met all my expectations. Its a solid bag that has plenty of room for all of my equipment. I work for a transportation company in my city. I have to carry with me certain personal protective equipment and this bag fits the bill perfectly. It can handle all of my equipment and Ill still have room for maybe a light jacket and even my hat. My only disappointment was after receiving the bag noticing here on Amazon that the price was lowered about $5 soon afterr ordering. If I had only known I would have waited to order in at the lower price. Still all in all, a great bag. Hope it holds up to the Daily Grind. Update: After using it for a few days I must say it does the job well. It holds all my equipment fine and this bag could be used for weekend travel.

I keep this in my rig as my AWOL bag- 2-3 days of clothes including a dress shirt and tie, sweats, toiletries and towel, slippers and a pair of dress shoes, phone charger, etc. A wool blanket and thermarest knockoff ride on the top and are held in place by the handles, tucked in behind my passenger seat. So long as I keep boots and seasonally appropriate coat, hat and gloves in my car, I can be packed and gone in about long as it takes me to put on my seatbelt. I have only two grumbles about the bag, and the first isnt so much the bag as the advertising. Many vendors and the manufacturer describe the internal divider as customizable- uhm, no. It is removable, but it really only has one place where it can be put. Now, if 5.11 was just line it with loop material or PALS webbing, Id have to break down and buy it again with the updated interior. That, and I wish the water bottle pockets were big enough for a quart nalgene-type bottle. But I knew these things going into the purchase and I cant give it a 4.5 stars.

I use this everyday as my patrol bag. This is big enough to hold the essentials. This also fits perfectly on the passenger seat. Sturdy construction makes me confident it will last a long time.
