Im using the Patrol Ready Bag as a range bag and it works just fine. These are the items I am able to carry in it: 2 Glock Pistols in their Glock boxes, 1 Ruger Mark 1 in a pistol rug, various paper targets, 4 pairs eye protection (stored in the waterbottle pouches), 4 pairs hearing protection, 3 smaller sized tupperware type containers for various caliber ammo, staple gun, 2 rolls of tape (duct and packing), baggie of disposable ear plugs, 3 extra Glock magazines, 1 extended Glock magazine, and clamp on bipod. Im sure Im forgetting something but the point is that I usually going shooting with the family so I need to pack extra gear and this bag does that admirably. I was using a gym bag before and it felt flimsy compared to this bag. The material is heavy duty and the zippers are sturdy. As a patrol bag, this should work fantastic. As a range bag, I think this is excellent as well.

I got this for my husband who absolutely was in need of a bag for work. He is a police officer and he is required to have many items on hand while on duty. This bag is well made and sturdy. Has many compartments and a divider that can be taken out for wider space need or can be secured back into place with velcro on both divider and inside the bag. He can easily find everything hes looking for being the bag makes it easy to organize.

I was using a dept issued bag with any compartments and it was a daily struggle to keep it organized. Now having little pockets here and there and the center divider, my life at work is so much more organized. I actually carry more stuff with me now because I have a spot to put much more items and It fits perfectly across the front seat of a Crown Victoria. My only gripe is the center divider seems to bend towards the back of the bag because I guess I have too many items stuffed into the front side of the divider. It makes it hard to put stuff on the backside of the divider. Other than that its a great bag and would buy another without a second thought.

What is it: Patrol bag What I liked: Fantastic quality. I had originally purchased the 5.11 tactical go bag, but found it was too small for use as a range bag. This was a fantastic size - lots of room (could easily fit 2 or 3 pistols in hard cases inside with room to spare). Nice compartment separation for hearing/eye protection, ammo, and so on. High quality zippers, and they do allow a travel lock to be slipped into the zippers to keep it shut. High quality construction, with an ID panel on the outside to easily identify your bag. What I didnt like: Nothing - great bag, great quality - perfect size as a larger range bag. Would I buy it again/recommend it? Yes, good product would recommend for variety of uses.

I love everything about this bag except the shoulder strap and the velcro straps on the top. I like the idea of the velcro straps but they dont adhear that good. The shoulder strap needs to be improved as well.

I officiate High School track meet and have accumulated quite a bid of gear; tape measures, starter pistols, clip boards, stop watches etc. This bag holds it all along with water bottles and I can strap an umbrella to the top for foul weather. Its reasonably water resistant and seems sturdy enough to make it through a few years of hard use. I carry about 25 pounds of equipment. I like this bag, I had a back pack which held most of this stuff and if I put it on the ground it would fall over and always gave me trouble finding things. This bag sits up nice and opens wide to view everything. The only thing I would change is the top, it has two zip compartments and a Velcro flap which hold paper and pens. The problem I have is when the top is open it flips over and the compartments are upside down. it would be great if they were the other way around or there were straps to hold the top vertical. Other than that its a great bag.

This bag comes with me every day on patrol, and carries everything I need including traffic vests, miscellaneous tools, spare cuffs, spare mags, law books, and snacks. I am one to carry everything AND the kitchen sink with me on patrol, and it has proven helpful. I have this bag packed with stuff and it has held up well, despite being heavy, and keeps it all organized. The straps are well made and the seams are strong. I have seen many other brands of duty bag and the 5.11 offering is the only one that really lasts. I like the Velcro patch on the lid, and I stuck a reflective tactical patch on it. It looks sharp and distinguishes my bag from those of other officers during roll call.

This bag is great. It has plenty of room for my portable DVD player, PSP and 3ds. Theres is also room for DVDs and plenty of games. I guess if you need to bring work stuff with you theres room for that also. The zippers and material are great quality. Theres plenty of pockets. I dont really care for the middle divider thing on the inside, it seems sorta cheap. The middle part is the only downside but still worth 5 stars

This holds all of my wrenches, pins, vise blocks, bore guides, brushes, greases, oils, pliers, and punch sets. Plus I can put some custom flash on the velcro panels! Its sturdy, easy to carry, and fits well in most overhead storage bins.

I use this as my work bag so I put paperwork, my lunch, and other random items in it. It had so many compartments that I’m able to keep everything separated. The material seems really durable. I also like the velcro up top so I can add different patches.
