20-11-2024I started getting thermal runaway when using PETG at 235C but I was able to use PLA+ fine. Then it started giving me the error on both. I went through the troubleshooting to figure out the cause. I was puzzled because my thermistor was still saying 97k ohms at room temperature but the little bulb looked a little cracked or chipped. I got this pack and went through each one with my meter to get the one closest to 100k ohms. I think they ranged from around 93-100k. After I replaced it, I was good to go and later upgraded to a different hotend and had to change out the thermistor anyway. However, while it was in the printer it worked fine and I had no troubles with thermal runaway afterward. Be sure to do a PID tune after replacing anything on the hotend.

> 3 dayAll of them were different values and 3 of the 5 didnt work at all. The other two were incompatible because the ad says 100k and they werent.

> 3 dayThese do NOT work with the prusa i3, as the connector is wrong. You can solder them to your old connectors if you have them, but out of the package they are worthless.

> 3 dayI purchased this product when the stock thermistor started having issues. I would only be able to print for several minutes before the printer would scream out an error at me (Ender 3). Replaced this one fairly easily, but you might want to watch some YouTube videos prior to installing it yourself.

> 3 dayThermistor bulb does not fit inside Ender 3 Pro hole. Stock hotend Hole was cleaned out but none of the 5 would fit. ***UPDATE **** After I enlarged the hole a little, the bulb fit. Not sure if these were a little larger than normal or not. Kudos to Comgrow for offering a refund for the trouble.

Greater than one weekThis thermister arrived arrived quickly and was easy to install. I installed this on an Ender 3 V2 with a MicroSwiss direct extruder. The cable length matched the original. How I installed this thermister: 1. I removed the thermister cable from the extruder and then opened the mainboard compartment and unplugged the original thermister connector from the mainboard. 2. I then cutoff the connector from the old thermister cable and taped the new thermister hot end cable to the old cable. 3. I then pulled the hot end of the original cable until the new cable came out of the wire loom. 4. I then attached the new thermister to the hot end of the extrude and plugged the other end into the mainboard. 5. Then I powed up the ender and the new thermister worked fine.
