> 3 dayMy first tap snapped less than 5 minutes into using it getting stuck with no way to get it out without destroying what Im working on. Save your money as these are very cheaply made bits that do not hold up under a single use.

> 3 dayProbably a bit overkill for what is supposed to be a one-time use, but it never hurts having such a set in your toolbox. The gauge to measure a bolts pitch is really helpful in finding that I needed an M10 x 1.25 versus 1.50 that I originally thought I needed. Hopefully this set lasts me awhile!

> 3 dayI will start by saying I think Ive only written one Amazon review before this one after hundreds of products purchased here. Im making an exception for this absolute piece of ****. Let me also say I am a diesel technician of over ten years so its not like I dont know how to use a tap and die set. After 2 bolts and one nut here is my experience. 2 dies that completely destroyed the threads on both mild steel bolts. Keep in mind I was just chasing threads, not cutting new ones. 1 tap that after a single use is already worn to the point of not being usable a second time. The fact that I couldnt even clean up threads with this kit speaks volumes. Zero chance this kit could cut new threads on anything save for like, copper or tin maybe? Once? DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAP. Buy a decent quality set and save yourself time and a headache.

> 3 dayIve had a collection of different dies and taps kicking around my shop, but seems I never could find the right size or thread when I needed it. Decided to invest a little money in what seems to be a pretty complete kit. Well have to see how they work and last. The one thing I did almost immediately is I glued the form insert that comes with it onto the top cover. This prevents all the components from falling out of their respective slots which I found out the hard way happens if you dont put the form back when you fold it up.
