Made this purchase to tap into aluminum channels for assembling custom covers and lids. Set came with multiple pieces, quality of tools is top-notch, and I use them weekly. Great value for the price.

Im a retired Quality Engineer and have wanted a set like this for decades. This kit has proved to be one of my wisest invests and Im so happy w the tap And thread making jobs ive done This is NOT a cheap set by no means and the value is enormous vs price. I am very pleased w this set and recommend it highly to any DIY garage/home work shop.

The Tap holder would not securely hold Taps less than size Metric M 8, and SAE 10. The cut and finish of the Dyes and Taps is very good. The quality is somewhat less than the very best dyes available and very much better than the cheap ones. I have not used them on hard Metals yet, but they performed very well on cast aluminum.

Seemed brittle ,hard to get started. Broke one handed.

The tap and die set is nice but it doesnt look like it would be considered a professional set. The package has two separate plastic trays for the taps and the dies. Always make sure to replace the clear plastic tray covers over the tools before you tip the tool case on edge otherwise all of the individual pieces will fall out and get mixed up.

Im a mechanic and most of these dont help much. Also the case is just like little indents for everything so if you bump it all the pieces go everywhere. Ive had to borrow my co workers set since this one lacks a lot of the ones I need. Dont waste your money and invest in a good set.
