> 24 hourThese discs chucked into an angle grinder are quite powerful at removing surface coatings. Being high speed, high RPMs, its not a subtle process but fast and thus very effective. Do beware of lead paint though. I think stripping lead paint is not advised by any mechanical means. The abrasive material has some give to it, which means that it is fairly gentle on the substrate material. It did not try it on wood, but on metal, concrete or glass, its fair to say that you can remove the coating without fear of damaging the substrate. These currently sell for under $3 per disc after coupon. While that does not seem super cheap to me, it represents a reasonable value.

> 24 hourI needed to completely redo a square metal pipe that had a significant amount of rust on it. So, I got these to try to clean as much rust off as I could before treating the metal and painting it. Since I was waiting for these before working on the project, I grabbed them immediately when they arrived and could not wait to see how well they worked. I was surprised at how quickly and easily it removed the rust and cleaned it up to bare metal. It made the job of priming it and painting it very easy. These were amazing for my needs.

> 24 hourThese work really well for stripping paint. I had a garage door I was trying to refinish and it had years of paint in it. The levels of paint and drips made it so I was tempted to use a plainer to get all the coats off but decided to try these. These brushes made the job so much easier and faster. I like that I am able to angle them however I need to get a detailed and clean job. I really appreciate these and the way that they make taking paint off a breeze.

> 24 hourI am pleasantly surprised that these abrasive stripping wheels as they lasted as long as they did. I am grinding and stripping of old welds on a project and needed some stripping wheels. I see these available and at a great price and thought it would take four or five of them to complete my job. Here I am, only used one of the wheels and my job is complete. I have a H. Freight 4 special grinder using the 5/8 arbor. This is some tough mesh and resin they used for these wheels. I used the wheels on 2024 Aluminum with about a 47 hardness and they worked great and didnt damage the material. I also used the wheels on 310 Annealed stainless steel with no problem. It was able to cut out with ease. 5 stars to WMAZtool for their TOUGH Stripping Wheels! Thanks :)

> 24 hourI am building a trailer from an old frame someone gave me, the frame was very rusty and I needed to strip that off prior to painting it. These discs are excellent for rust removal. I was able to grind down the entire trailer in a 2 day time frame and only used one disc. I have another project coming up that I need to strip paint from a piece of wood furniture, Ill keep you updated on how it works.

> 24 hourI use these stripping discs on my angle grinder to remove paint from an old truck I am refinishing. These discs are doing a great job and holding up well. I wish I knew what grit they were since it isnt listed but these discs work so well that I still gave them a 5-star rating.

> 24 hourI got these thinking they were like the stripping pads I use with my drill, but these are meant for a grinder. My drill pads are just pads with a hole that you screw down an arbor. Those can be used on either side but applying flat is not possible because of the arbor screw. These wheels have a built-in backing and metal reinforced arbor hole in the backing plate. The downside is they can only be used on one side. The upside is I can use them as a flat stripper with my grinder. I have a HF grinder and found the hole in these fit the grinder but were too small to fit around the indent in the nut. Thus, the force of the grinder was simply on the metal reinforcement band of the stripping wheel. That being said, I had no issues when I used this to smooth down old mortar from removed tiles. They worked pretty well, and perceptibly seemed to not wear down as fast as my other wheels. However, they also started being less effective about half-way worn as the surface became smoother from grinding the mortar. But overall, I really liked using these better than a wheel on a drill.

> 24 hourThese stripping wheels are very aggressive and remove paint quickly and easily. This is what you want. Make fast work of removing paint and corrosion. I just stripped a deck to get it ready for fresh staining. Dont overdo it with pressure on softer woods because it will remove the wood fibers, leaving a rough surface. Also keep control of the angle grinder or the edge of the wheel will dig in and leave marks. Stripping metal is good too, but the same applies to stripping aluminum. Will leave circular scratches if you arent careful and paying attention. But overall, these work well for general stripping use, corrosion cleanup, etc.
