Greater than one weekIf you have an angle grinder and need to strip paint or wood, these are what you need. Aggressive and work amazingly well when used on a metal trailer to remove old paint.

> 3 dayExcellent for removing heavy rust after scaling. These are amazing to keep on hand for clean up prior to welding. Really long lasting wheels.

> 3 dayI am pleasantly surprised that these abrasive stripping wheels as they lasted as long as they did. I am grinding and stripping of old welds on a project and needed some stripping wheels. I see these available and at a great price and thought it would take four or five of them to complete my job. Here I am, only used one of the wheels and my job is complete. I have a H. Freight 4 special grinder using the 5/8 arbor. This is some tough mesh and resin they used for these wheels. I used the wheels on 2024 Aluminum with about a 47 hardness and they worked great and didnt damage the material. I also used the wheels on 310 Annealed stainless steel with no problem. It was able to cut out with ease. 5 stars to WMAZtool for their TOUGH Stripping Wheels! Thanks :)

Greater than one weekThese stripping wheels are very aggressive and remove paint quickly and easily. This is what you want. Make fast work of removing paint and corrosion. I just stripped a deck to get it ready for fresh staining. Dont overdo it with pressure on softer woods because it will remove the wood fibers, leaving a rough surface. Also keep control of the angle grinder or the edge of the wheel will dig in and leave marks. Stripping metal is good too, but the same applies to stripping aluminum. Will leave circular scratches if you arent careful and paying attention. But overall, these work well for general stripping use, corrosion cleanup, etc.

> 3 daySo far I think this disk works well. They do not last as much as other overprice disks. But they do the job.

> 3 dayIve never used this style of disc before, only flap wheels. I gave it 3 stars because I had a problem with it fitting on my corded Milwaukee. The thickness of the wheel was too deep for any spanner wrench I had, except for this universal spanner that thankfully would barely tighten the plate. So right away, the disc removed metal no problem. For reference, I used it to remove rust from angle iron before welding, and it did quick work of that. After that, I used it on a brand new outdoor griddle surface to remove the shipping oil, and to make the surface smooth. At first, it did a good job. After a while though, it seemed to get loaded up. When I stopped and looked at the wheel, it did have some melted surface area on it, about 10-20%. Im new to these strip discs, so maybe thats normal, maybe its not. It also embedded plastic into a few areas of my griddle top that then became nearly impossible to remove with sand discs, brake cleaner, denatured alcohol, etc. I pretty much had to burn it off during the seasoning of my griddle. Pros: They last a long time. Good value for the money. Less dust (I think) during rust removal. Cons: Disc was too thick for my spanner to fit on my Milwaukee, AND 2 other no-name grinders. they loaded up about 1/3 of their life.

07-06-2025Was welding up some brackets using steel I had laying around in the garage. It had obviously oxidized much over the years so I needed to clean it up. These stripping wheels made quick work of cleaning the surfaces so I could weld them up.

> 3 dayIm currently working on a 1936 Chevrolet. The car is a older restoration that Im stripping the paint on. Im also redoing the interior and taking the sound deadening material off the inside. Not only do these strip paint great, they also make easy work stripping the sticky residue left behind from the sound deadening material. It last fairly well with light pressure on the paint. The residue from the sound deadening material does eat them away a little quicker. Fortunately the price of these are great compared to anyone local. I can purchase this 8 pack cheaper than two locally and they last the same. Definitely cant beat price, quality, and quantity. Less money I can spend on consumables, the more I can put into the project. When working on project vehicles, you never hear people talk about the price of consumables during the build process. Between sandpaper, sanding disc, cutoff wheels, welding supplies, welding gas, etc, you could easily have another grand tied up in the project. Its definitely nice to save some cash whenever you can.
