> 3 daydespite what some reviews say, this DOES work with my elite series 2 controller. even the paddles work. yo DO have to update the firmware of the dongle though. so you will need a laptop, pc, or something to update it.

> 3 dayThis review is for the new (Amazon date first available 12/6/2021, version 2) “8Bitdo Wireless USB Adapter 2”. Short version: Confirmed, as of 1/20/2022, the new “8Bitdo Wireless USB Adapter 2” completely supports Xbox Series X|S controllers in Bluetooth BLE wirelessly on Nintendo Switch. Bluetooth pairing is under 3 seconds. Reconnection is about 2 seconds after the initial pairing. No lag from what I could experience. All buttons, including the new Share button, can be remapped by using 8bitdo Ultimate Software. However, profile needs to be reactivated every time Switch wake up from sleep. Which is a bit troublesome. Long version: I have been using four 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ and Pro2 controllers on my two Nintendo Switches for almost two years. SN30 Pro’s are great controllers. 8bitdo has great after sale support especially frequent firmware upgrades to fix problems. Things changed over Thanksgiving time. I bought my first Metrodvania 2D side scroll platform game, Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The left stick of SN30 pro2 hurt my left thumb after long play because of its position. BTW, I am 60 years old, most players are younger than me and most likely won’t have my problem. I also have four Playstation 4 controllers but they have the same left stick position. Xbox controller should help because left stick is on top and closer to edge so my left thumb does not have to extend wide as on the SN30 Pro2 and Dualshock4. Bought a Xbox Series X|S controller over black Friday sale from COSTCO and discovered it does not work with the Mayflash Magic-NS and Magic-N I already have. Though Mayflash adaptors claimed they work with all Xbox controllers. Later found out this was because Xbox Series controllers now use Bluetooth BLE instead of the Classic mode. I spent days researching and couldn’t find much information other than everybody just reported how they couldn’t use Xbox series control on Switch. BTW, there are cumbersome or expensive (more than $30) way to do it but I don’t want to either use two adapters in serial, nor pay more than $30 to buy another adaptor, so this new Xbox Series controller can only be used to play Dolphin emulator games on PC. BTW, it works great with Dolphin emulator on PC. I regain hope after reading someone in different item review on Amazon mentioned the 8Bitdo Wireless USB Adapter 2 works with his Xbox Series controller. I decided to give it one more try. I don’t want to bore you with how difficult is was for me to finally receive this adaptor 14 days after ordering with Prime shipping, just hope your purchase experience will be easier than mine. Today I am playing Ori on switch with Xbox Series X|S controller WIRELESSLY. Happy ending.

> 3 dayThis is super easy to connect to different controllers. I had to scan the QR code to read directions online. I put it in the usb on the side of the switch dock and I have room to also plug in other USB’s to charge controllers in the second one on the side no problem. I’ve Used my Wii U pro controller and my Xbox no problem.

> 3 dayThis product simply works with my Switch. I had previously bought the Mayflash Magic NS (gray older model) and was so frustrated by it. All of the issues I had with that device are not present here. Buy this over the Magic NS!

> 3 dayI really enjoy this product. This adapter works with most Bluetooth controllers like, PS4/5, Xbox Series Controllers, etc. This also works in handheld mode if you have a USB-A to USB-C adapter. This is a money saver because why buy a controller for that console and only use it on that console if you have multiple controller that are compatible with this adapter. Once again this is a wonderful product and I highly recommend for people who are not comfortable with the Nintendo Pro Controller // Joycons and looking for an in-expensive way to play the Nintendo Switch.

> 3 dayWhats great about this adapter is you can practically use any controller with the Switch. My go-to is the PS5 DualSense controller. My two problems with it are (1) its a bit big, and (2) the 8Bitdo ultimate software does not allow for held button macros, which makes macros for most things useless (so cant do a long jump macro in Mario Odyssey). If they made it half the size, similar to the 8Bitdo Ultimate controllers 2.4ghz adapter and made macros more usable it would be 5 stars. Another issue that cropped up is after the last PS5 update I could no longer pair my PS5 DualSense controller. They did end up fixing it would a firmware update after about a week. So if you run into that issue, make sure you download their firmware updater.

Greater than one weekI read the reviews saying this was not compatible with the nes/snes classic mini. I am stubborn and decided to try it anyway. I did not update the firmware on the 8bitdo usb. I never plugged anything into my computer. I just plugged the adapter into my OTG cable and my Pas4 controller synced. It thinks it’s an Xbox 360 controller and the light is green on the controller instead of blue or red. Both analog buttons work. Both bumpers work, the L2 is Z and R2 changes to c buttons and both analog sticks work. I was going to send this back, but if it’s working, I’ll keep it. I also played N64 Super Smash Bros. The d pad don’t work, but left stick does and seemed fully playable. Playing Link, I can even do special attacks and pull out bombs and throw them. Anyone else had luck with this and is there anything negative I need to know about this before I make a final decision on it?
