I use this to play on my PC. It let me use my current Xbox controllers instead of buying a pricy one that has a USB adaptor with it. Great way to save some money and use the controllers you already have.

Using this to match up a PS5 controller to a switch : This thing works like bluetooth works in TV ads. press the one button, turn on the controller, boom, were good to go. Honestly a blessing, symmetrical sticks + totk feel so much better than joycons.

Had zero issues connecting like others had stated in the reviews. Purchased to connect my sons Xbox one controller to our new switch so we all could play Mario cart. Plugged in the back of switch and connected the controller with zero problems. If you are looking to save money instead of buying another switch controller, I would definitely recommend going this route!

I was playing smash with an Xbox controller. There was constant lag.

In order to use the ultimate software and Nintendo switch with an Xbox Elite Controller you must first downgrade your controller firmware. On a Windows 10/11 pc download the xbox accessories app. Then on your desktop right click and create a new shortcut. For the location paste: xboxaccessories:\firmwareupdate?legacyDowngrade=true After the shortcut is created connect your controller to your pc via usb then open the shortcut. It should show an option for downgrade controller firmware. After it is complete you can now use your elite controller with your switch and 8bitdo adapter. This is not an issue with the 8Bitdo adapter it is an issue with Microsoft software.

It works exactly the way they say it is great. Give one if you need it

This was purchased for use in my Playstation classic and indeed right out of the box it was easy to sync and set up. 8 bit do continues to knock it out of the park with their quality and attention to detail.

Why is this easier than pairing with an xbox? haha

Short answer: It works great! I paired this with my PS4 controller and played one round of Naruto ultimate storm 4 and I was happy with it. If youre wondering how the buttons translate from switch to PS4, here it is: > Options is + > Share is - > PS button is Home > Touchpad is Screenshot Some additional notes from further testing: This adaptor and the conneceted controller CANNOT turn the switch on but, thats not a big deal to me. I can turn the switch on with another controller and then turn on my connected PS4 controller which connects to the adaptor (instantly by the way) and just rearrange the connection order. Didnt notice any lag and the gyroscope works (i tested this on Pokemon Arceus) Lastly, I noticed with my 8bitdo controller ($50) that the joystick and button inputs lag when i have bluetooth earphones connected to the switch. With this adaptor, theres no lag.
