Greater than one weekBought this so I could use my wireless Xbox controller on switch and it works great! Instructions in the box have a QR code to the 8BitDo website which provides software to remap the controls as well which is awesome. Just plug into your PC, pair with your controller and use the software to customize. A few mistakes I made that might help people: -In your Switch settings turn on Pro Controller Wired Communication otherwise it wont work (if you follow the instructions on the website it tells you this) -Make sure your TV is in Game Mode if its an option. I was getting pretty bad input lag and I thought it was this adapter. Switching to Game Mode totally fixed it.

Greater than one weekWasn’t sure how to use one of these but once I figured it out, everything went smooth. Aside from me actually still not really understanding how to use it but that’s besides the point.

> 3 dayI have two of these now, first gen and this second gen. Both work flawlessly, I have one bound to a PS4 and the other to a PS5 controller. The advantage to this is that games that use the Xbox Windows driver work when the Playstation controllers would otherwise not be recognized. Secondly I noticed that both controllers have jitter on both stick axes on both controllers when connected via USB or Bluetooth (very strange and could be construed as stick drift). However, both controllers do not have this behavior when bound to the 8bitdo, could be the adaptor somehow buffers/smooths these out around deadzone and discards the jitter information. Make sure you download the configuration software from their website to configure your controller correctly. I did run into a problem with this Gen 2 when it tried to update the firmware from the Ultimate Software, the controller would no longer be recognized and the adaptor had a flashing green light (this behavior apparently happens if you press the bind button when inserting into the USB port which I did not do and think the Firmware update from the Ultimate software failed) and I thought I may have to return it. However, if this happens to you download the separate Upgrade Tool from their site and run it, this forced a firmware update and problem was solved. Their documentation can use some improvement especially is the above happens since I could not find this information anywhere! Recommended, great product (their SN30 pad is great too)!

> 3 dayI read the reviews saying this was not compatible with the nes/snes classic mini. I am stubborn and decided to try it anyway. I did not update the firmware on the 8bitdo usb. I never plugged anything into my computer. I just plugged the adapter into my OTG cable and my Pas4 controller synced. It thinks it’s an Xbox 360 controller and the light is green on the controller instead of blue or red. Both analog buttons work. Both bumpers work, the L2 is Z and R2 changes to c buttons and both analog sticks work. I was going to send this back, but if it’s working, I’ll keep it. I also played N64 Super Smash Bros. The d pad don’t work, but left stick does and seemed fully playable. Playing Link, I can even do special attacks and pull out bombs and throw them. Anyone else had luck with this and is there anything negative I need to know about this before I make a final decision on it?

> 3 dayI dont know with the other reviews why there wasnt a USB area or the fact that it doesnt fit in the back. One just needs to simply take the cover off, and plug in on the side of the dock. It works perfectly! Also, on the settings of the switch, you need to switch the pro controller setting to wired mode on or it wont work.

> 3 dayThe 8Bitdo USB adapter is reliable and easy-to-use that allows you to connect 8Bitdo controllers easily. I was able to set it up easily thanks to its quick link button. The adapter doesnt appear to introduce latency. One downside is the size of the adapter. It is bulkier than a lot of other USB controller adapters on the market and you will have issues fitting more than 2 on a Raspberry Pi. Overall, the 8Bitdo USB adapter 2 is decent and gets the job done. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 for the size.
