I have an 8bitdo SN30 Pro 2 controller that Im using with an older PC that Ive converted into an emulator machine with Batocera as the front end. I tried multiple different Bluetooth dongles and while they technically worked, I would have issues with random connection drop outs and the controller would often not reconnect after a system reboot causing me to have to remove and re-pair the controller. After updating the firmware on the 8bitdo adapter, it paired up to my controller in 8-10 seconds and has consistently paired after up every time. Maybe it just me, but Im noticing less latency as well. Itd be nice if you could pair more than one controller to it but oh well...

I bought this to be able to use macros on a controller. It doesnt tell you there is something like a 20 button limit. It also cant loop the macro, so no removing repotion with this. That said, it still does a good job at getting different remotes connected to different devices

My PC has built-in Bluetooth so I thought that would be good enough for connecting a Playstation controller and playing games, but it was always disconnecting and the range was terrible. Plugged in this dongle and and paired immediately. It stays connected and it works from 30 feet away (and probably more). Rumble works too! Which it never did with regular bluetooth, Very satisfied.

This thing does what it promises and it looks great. Kudos. Wanted something like this for ages.

So I wanted to write more of a guide then a review, as I find this very important, and all over the internet I found wrong information. I wanted to play Captain Toads Adventure and it required Gyro Controls on the Switch Pro Controller. Everytime I seen the controller it was a XBox 360 Controller. Its easy to change the mode as stated in the 8BitDo Manual online. Press the button combos below for 3 seconds to enter manual setting (LED will blink twice)，USB Wireless Adapter 2 will not switch mode automatically. - Button + UP = Xinput mode - Button + LEFT = Dinput mode - Button + RIGHT = Mac mode - Button + DOWN = PSC mode - Button + L = Switch mode - Button + UP + LEFT = MD mode * Automatic mode switch supports Windows and Switch only. Press the button combos to switch other modes. * Press pair button on the USB Wireless Adapter 2 till LED turns off to cancel manual setting（controller needs to be re-paired） So press the (+) and the L and you should see the light blink, that is key to know you did it right!. And a pop-up on Windows says, setting up Pro Controller! So all is good now, and Im keeping this device.

1 adapter = 1 controller. works as intended.

If youre using this on a Raspberry Pi 4b, the form blocks off access to the adjacent port. It would be perfect if it was slimmer.

But do buy it if you have an un-updated Dualsense lying around. Sony screwed around with an update and my up to date controllers would not connect. Went to Reddit and people had the same problem, wondering if it was a recent update to the controller. Luckily, I had a couple Dualsenses that I never use as they had trigger issues (that I mostly fixed) and got gifted new controllers. Synced up right away. And it’s phenomenal! Rumble, gyro. All working well and everything is very precise as far as latency concerns. So yeah, great product here. Using the best controller on the market (imo) for $20 rather than the apparent second best of the switch’s pro controller at $70. Big win
