Greater than one weekI did a lot of research on bike locks before choosing this one. This is one of the highest rated locks (of the other two, one weighs a ton and the other is almost $300). It was number one against lock picking and its extremely resistant to a grinder with a titanium blade in spite of its 16mm shackle. Never mind bolt cutters. Its designed to resist extreme torque as well. Its easy to mount and rests sturdy. No rattling. Besides its amazing strengths, its relatively light in weight. This is my main lock. Although, I obviously dont rely on only one lock. The other is its rival in the same category. The other weighs a ton, tough.

> 3 dayQuality lock, but it is pretty heavy. Im using this as my commuter lock, and putting it in my backpack adds quite a bit of weight. However, good security comes at a price.

> 3 dayI researched the security level of many different locks. An expert who teaches lock picking and bypass mentioned Abus as one of the best brands to defeat such efforts. The only way to get into this lock is through brute Force. Im sure that is possible, but as long as I have a better lock than the guy next to me, most criminals will move on to an easier lock.

> 3 dayTwo locks arrived in less than week. Both in perfect condition despite a box holding together with only a hope and a prayer. But what in the world was a twelve-pack of D-cell batteries doing in the box? Someone packing this was not paying attention. Amazon needs to use better boxes for shipping heavy items, and check contents before closing up the box. Hope we didn’t pay for the extra three pounds the batteries added to the weight. Bizarre. Still, happy with locks and can find no faults.

> 3 dayIm using this with an Abus Cobra Loop Cable. I do live in a large city while a fairly high rate of bicycle theft, and so far my bike has not been stolen, so I guess its working. Though Im sure if someone really wanted my bike, they could get through it. Just note that this lock is pretty heavy and large. I wasnt able to find a good spot on my bike to mount it to. Also note that this does NOT come with a mount. I had to order one separately from overseas at the time, but then of course I ended up not using it. There is a bundle that comes with a mount, so if thats what you need, look for the bundle instead.

> 3 dayLooks strong and is heavy. Should slow down the most determined thief. Did not use the mounting bracket though it worked fine.
