> 3 dayExcellent value for money. I suspect this to be one of the best choices of monitors in the category. I am very satisfied with its performance and have found no evidence of leaks around the perimeter (as a review I had read might have suggested). Picture image is absolutely steady and color and detail are vivid and sharp. The frame around the image is arguably the thinnest in its category. This is a big plus when it comes to long sessions of work. Also, it would be a plus when using multiple monitors. As I expected, there is a relatively wide viewing angle from any direction - so there is little need to adjust the stand constantly. Again, during long sessions of work I change my angle and height of viewing quite a bit, the wide viewing angle is much more comfortable in such cases. One small issue I have noticed while testing is that I would have preferred a height adjustment on the stand. My preferred viewing height would have been about an inch shorter than the fixed 4.5 inch height (bottom of image to desktop). Sometimes I have to place the monitor on a standard tabletop at work, which is particularly where this need becomes apparent. I thought of mentioning this only for the manufacturers, but it is not really a big problem since I am quite accustomed to it even at this time, three weeks after putting the monitor into use. Since I use this monitor with a new build, its generic drivers were installed by Windows during assembly. However, I replaced these with the Acer drivers. Regardless of how impressed I was with this monitor, I have to state that although I have been a computer builder and business user/enthusiast for many years, I have not been able to figure out how to use the physical buttons on the monitor to tweak its settings - I gave up and used the Windows Control Panel instead. The monitor comes well tuned and does not need much or any tweaking out of the box. Overall, I think most customers would be entirely satisfied with buy and I recommend it highly.

21-11-2024This is a very good monitor for its price! I upgraded from a previous monitor that came with my Dell Inspiron that had Windows Vista LOL!. Very Old. Anyways my reason for upgrading: 1) Using it as an external monitor for my macbook pro for college work. 2) It connects to my xbox one s very nicely. Battlefield 1 and titan fall 2 looks awesome in this (in my opinion) BEFORE YOU BUY YOU MUST KNOW: 1) the monitor does not tilt up or down. 2) monitor does not rise in height and visa versa. 3) the monitor does no rotate To me this isnt a problem since my monitor is sitting on a monitor riser. However, if you are nit picky about this type of stuff, i recommend you look else where and compare! OVERALL THOUGHTS: 1) set up is very easy! can be done in 5 minutes. Simply connect the circle base to the back of the monitor screen and you are done! Its a awesome monitor for its price!!

> 3 dayGood, but not fantastic. First, some positives, then my nit-picking: Packaged well. The box was not treated the greatest by UPS, with some minor crushing. The packaging was sufficient enough to protect the panel very well. No dead pixels. Even if a company has a good exchange policy for this, shipping back and waiting again is a pain. Zero dead pixels. (A special note, I will edit this when/if they do appear) Ok, now my nit-picking: There is a bit of backlight bleeding, but it is only really noticeable if youre using it in a darkened room. I usually have other lights on to reduce eye strain, so it doesnt effect me a whole lot. I think I was hoping for a bit richer blacks/contrast. Images and games that are variations of color and light look markedly better than my older Dell LCD, but shadows and darkness dont look much better. There is another reviewer who actually took a photo of this, and Im wishing I wouldve taken a little more time reading reviews. I think for me, personally, if I would have seen this in action before ordering/opening, I would have hung in with my 1080p Dell LCD from 2010 for another year or two before going to 4k or 1440p. Im not saying this is a bad monitor, just that I was investing in getting a bigger difference than what I actually got. Maybe the IPS screens I have seen were of higher quality in that department, and I mistook how much of that image improvement was due to IPS technology.

> 3 dayI returned them, so anything I say will be limited in knowledge. Firstly, I got these because I was recommended them by a friend. This was my first mistake. Because I took my friends recommendation, I didnt read the product description and failed to realize these monitors do not have VESA compatibility. That in and of itself is not a deal breaker. I happened to have a VESA adapter on hand, but when I set it up... Yikes. It didnt work with the adapter at all no matter what I did. I dont know if thats the monitors fault or the VESA adapters fault, but after a half hour of struggle, I was getting frustrated. With the monitor connected to the adapter the best that I could get it, I decided to test the monitor itself by plugging it in and turning it on. That went about as smoothly as was expected. The monitor itself seems like it has nice quality, but for some reason everything on my screen was just off quality-wise. The resolution was incredibly wrong and could not be fixed no mater what I changed my display settings to. The color wasnt right either. A half hour of struggling with the display settings later, I was at peak frustration and turned the computer off to salvage my mental health. During this time, I spoke with the friend who recommended them, and we agreed it was time to return the monitors. I ended up turning the computer on one last time to print the return label, and at that point, the resolution was actually not terrible. I guess turning the computer on and back off again helped reset whatever was causing me problems. I actually considered keeping the monitors to try and see if I could troubleshoot the rest myself, but I ultimately decided to return them. In conclusion, I think these are probably good monitors. They just did not work for me, and I dont know if its because my monitors were faulty, my equipment was faulty, or if it was something else entirely. I personally just do not have the skills or knowledge to troubleshoot computer problems, especially when setting up a monitor should be a piece of cake. I ended up buying another Acer monitor, and it worked instantly with no struggling or troubleshooting, so take that as you will. 7/10 did not work for me but could have been great for someone else (maybe)

> 3 dayThe on/off button (and others) are on the bottom edge of the monitor. I find I must hold on to the monitor with one hand in order for the other to use the buttons. Inconvenient.

Greater than one weekThe screen arrived in good shape, the next day, which is great. It can be adjusted from very dark to super bright, and is very clear. The not-so-good: The directions on how to mount the base are incorrect. There is nothing to slide out, so you can not pull the monitor base out fully, and no two white screws to secure the base. Also, there is no indication on the front of the screen frame as to where the adjustment buttons are. You would have to label them yourself or use trial and error to make adjustments. Third, a simple pivot in the base would make it possible to orient the screen optimally - its at 90 degrees from the tabletop, whether you like it or not. Buying a separate base would require it to have 4 screw holes in the back to attach it to the support arm, but there is no way to mount an adjustable arm to it. As a side note, you will probably have to adjust the screen settings (in Settings - Display on Windows) to make the picture fill out the screen. One you have it right it looks very nice. So the bottom line is that it looks great and I will enjoy using it. In 2023 its a plug-and-play device that we could only have dreamed about a decade ago. At 99 bucks (plus tax and recycling fee) its a very good deal if you are happy with it not being tiltable. It could be much better, though, at almost no additional manufacturing cost. EDIT: There is a serious glitch with this monitor - when you install it, you lose access to sound on your computer. The monitor has no speakers, and the speaker jack in the back does not provide any audio signal. The menu allows you to mute or unmute, but never allows any sound. Online research shows that other people have this problem as well, and there is no solution. I called Acer Customer Support, entered the serial number, heard music for a minute, went to silent hold and got hung up on. If I can not find the solution for this problem, then this monitor is going back. It would be a shame, because the picture is very good, in spite of its other design shortcomings.

> 3 dayI bought this Monitor Dec 13, 2015 and am still using it on my main daily computer and its working great! Its sturdy. I do play video games but not on PC so I dont know if this would be good for gaming? It displays the little arcade type games I do play, very nicely. Ive had no problems or issues with this Monitor & am pleased with it

> 3 dayVery nice quality for the money and works great. I made the mistake of not checking to see if it had a mounting plate on the back so I could attach to dual monitor stand and it does not have that. I swapped it with my husbands monitor that had the back plate and he is very happy with this monitor so it all worked well.
