> 3 dayI picked this up for my new Asus ROG Oculus Rift system. I knew Id want something for others to see what the person in the Rift was viewing, as well as a way to use the computer outside of the Rift. I took a star off of it for how the inputs in the back of this come out at a right angle to the screen - meaning it has to stick out a way from a wall, you cant snug it up close to that or a cubicle wall. Also, supposedly there are speakers, but since I use this for an Oculus Rift, and that requires the HDMI port on my GT980 video card, I cant use an input that includes audio. And there is no Aux input to use a 1/8 stereo plug to connect it to the sound card. Other than that, I like it. Powers on pretty quickly, the base doesnt use much space, and the picture is really bright, really crisp, without having to be in torch mode to achieve it. I love the colors and the clarity. For the price, its worth it.

> 3 dayBoth have great colors and working good for the price. But one have terrible white bleeding if you look it at an angle, other tan that works good.

> 3 dayMy son bought me a monitor like this last year. I loved it so much that I bought one for the office I work at. It was a GREAT deal when I bought it at $99.00. Very nice quality.

> 3 dayThere are no assembly or quick start instructions that come with the monitor so you have to figure out the basics of assembling the stand and hooking up the monitor on your own. Out of the box, the display is blinding, retina-searingly bright. Im not exaggerating--there was ghosting of the image from the monitor still in my eyes when I closed them. The six(!) unlabeled buttons under the monitor are not intuitive (except for the power button, which is logically the one on the outside) and even after downloading and reading the instruction manual it took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to navigate the button/menu combination so I could turn down the brightness. Once I turned down the brightness the picture was crisp with good but not great colors. The old Samsung monitor that this replaced had a much warmer, more natural picture. On the other hand, the Samsung monitor had a pretty narrow viewing angle and if you were even a bit off to the side the quality of the picture changed noticeably. This monitor has a very wide viewing angle, with no distortion or darkening of the picture if you are viewing the monitor even at a sharp angle. Its possible that this monitor will grow on me with extended use and that I will get used to the colors, which are much brighter and cooler than I am accustomed to. But theres no excuse for a monitor to ship out with default settings so bright they can damage your eyes or for the difficult to navigate button/menu combination. I wish that I had purchased a different monitor but the exceptionally glowing reviews this one received had me fooled and now that the thing is open and hooked up theres really not much I can do--if I return it simply because I dont like it Amazon will charge me for return shipping and likely a restocking fee as well. I guess thats the chance you take when you buy an item like this over the internet without the chance to see it in person first. If you are looking for a warm and natural looking picture this is definitely not the monitor to buy. Consider yourself warned.

> 3 day4.5/5 Stars. Bought this on 09/04/2016. I was using a 21 TN Monitor before this. My use case is pretty general. I do some design work on the side at times, no gaming or anything. The setting I use during the day is Standard, but I turned off the blue light setting and set OSD to 0. At night, I use a custom setting -- the same as my Standard one, but the brightness is set to 10. I also use f.lux (warms up the color of your display to match your room at night) which I highly recommend if you are looking at your screen for as long as I do. PROS: - For the price, this monitor was far better than I expected. - The screen size is an upgrade from a laptop and 21 monitor. Not sure if I can go back to a very clunky bezel for long-term use now. - Colors are good. No dead pixels. No ghosting. - The non-glossy screen is exactly what I hoped for. - The power brick -- its pretty small compared to some Ive seen other screens come with. - Very lightweight. Easy to put together without any issues. CONS: - It is very wobbly and easy to tip simply by pressing the power button. That is the cost of having it be lightweight, I suppose. I can see it being knocked over very easily, so I do not recommend placing it anywhere too precarious. Definitely not near children or nosy pets unless it is weighted down solidly. - Man, it is BRIGHT. At times, this is really helpful for certain things. If you are a hermit like me that enjoys sitting in the dark, well -- youll have to adjust to that a bit. - The settings are difficult to navigate through. There is no way to tell the difference between exit/back, up/down, forward, and power on/off. Even after a year, I still accidentally hit the wrong button here or there sometimes. I put small piece of tape on the power button so I can feel the difference. OVERALL: I think this is a really good monitor to start with and I am happy with it.

> 3 dayStraight up: These are not great monitors. But for $100 each? Well, theyre pretty great monitors. Thus my headline. Cost effective is what these monitors are. The picture is a bit on the washed out end of the spectrum and maybe a tiny bit grainy. If youre a gamer, dont even consider thinking about buying these. But if, like me, youre using them in an office setting, theyre just fine. The monitors have virtually no physical adjustment. What Im especially missing is height; I think they sit at least 6 too low for proper ergonomics. I was able to solve this with the tried and true stack of printer paper method. Again, perfectly fine in an average office setting and maybe not so great in your Gamer Man Cave or whatever. Finally, consider that these are fairly low-resolution by todays standards. Again -- office work vs. gaming, watching a movie, or whatever. These things work fine. Setup was a breeze, they do what theyre supposed to do, and I dont regret my purchase one bit. If they were more expensive Id start pulling off more stars, but theyre quite cheap and well worth the tiny investment. If all you need are simple office monitors, you can certainly do worse than these. Just go order yourself a few reams of printer paper to go along with them.

Greater than one weekBought this when my company went remote-first. Its a really nice monitor for the price. Definitely dont recommend if youre a gamer or need to use professional design software regularly - but for the average user this more than does the job. Its got a nice slim profile and its a good size. Have used it for the past two years with no problems.

20-11-2024Writing a novel while suffering from migraine is enough of a struggle, without flickering screens. This is amazingly better than the one it replaced. My other computer is for internet or a movie; this one is for writing and editing (the most hours). It was advertised as a gaming monitor. Refresh rates are vital for any task involving screen time... even hunt & peck typing.

> 3 daySo I game on my ps4 along with pc and Netflix, other broadcasting and YouTube stuff. My goal was to get a 27 inch monitor and a 24 inch monitor. One for my PlayStation 4 and one for my PC. Well not only will this monitor allow me to hook up to both platforms, it can automatically sense which input is being used and switch over. The picture is very crisp and clean and you also have the option to select different picture qualities. And what I mean by that is you can choose gaming or energy saving mode, movie, standard or you can customize to your liking. This item came in roughly 2 to 3 days. It was packed very well and did not have any trouble putting the stand together. The stand does tilt a little bit down and back. The only negative thing I saw is there was no option for a mount. Overall this monitor was a great purchase for me. As good as the picture is I dont think I wouldve found anything better for the price that I paid. I do play Lotta first person shooters so the less lag the better and I noticed hardly none whatsoever. I bought this item around February 28 and Amazon let me know that if I wasnt satisfied I could return it up until March 29. So if you are worried take that into account as well. If you are on the fence about this monitor or another one I would recommend this monitor, especially if you were looking for one on a low budget. It does come with a VGA cable to hook up to your computer but it doesnt come with an HDMI cable for systems which is kind of a bummer but owell. I hope I have managed to help some of you out, if you have any questions please let me know. I would be glad to help any of you out.
