This was replacement for an older Lenovo monitor that I have been using for years. The power button stopped working as well as the button to enter the settings. This was a little bigger that what I had but the difference in the picture and brightness is a night and day difference!

Product is easy to assemble, somewhat flimsy support but adequate. Main selling point: acceptable quality at low price.

I bought this monitor because I am replacing one that got broken a few days ago. This monitor has great colors and a good performance for work from home. I would not recommend this monitor if the purpose is to use it in gaming, because it has only 60 Hz refresh rate and 4 ms response time. I got it for a low price and free shipping, so, I am totally satisfied with the product!

Pleasantly surprised by this monitor. Ordered 2. Wish they had a dual mount for it

I figured I would wait awhile before making this review. Its for the 23.8 inch R240HY bidx I feel I should mention the size because Amazon has this completely stupid policy now of merging reviews for what they think are similar products, so you never know if youre reading the review for the product you actually are researching, or the larger or smaller model with may or may not be similar in reality. In my opinion this monitor has good color quality, blacks are black enough, it can be tuned to be not too bright/blue (although most people seem to love screens as bright and blue as technically feasible). Its great for gaming, the screen looks larger than it is because the bezel is small. Its very thin. No dead pixels (my last 1080p Acer had one stuck red pixel, this was ages ago though). I have hopes it will last longer than my last one because of the LED backlighting. Main complaint is ghosting or trailing when scrolling on websites with dark font and colors that arent white. Theres a site I visit more often than others, and when scrolling the text ghosts pretty bad, its black text on a kind of blue/grey background and the ghosting is basically negative, as in it ghosts light almost white under the black text when scrolling. Hard to explain I suppose but even a literally ancient HP LCD monitor I have from Windows Vista era does not do this. Really griping I suppose and if you want consider this a five star review. I just dont give five stars unless I have no complaints. Acer is always a great value brand if youre willing to consider it might not last forever. Great specs and features for the price as always VESA mount would also be nice, if just so that I could get a second of exact same model for portrait use as a second monitor

Bought two of these to set up an office at my gfs house. Extremely pleased! Easy set up with the bases, nice thin bezel, great, sharp picture. Easily compatible with my Dell monitors of the same size. I worked all week with them and I do a lot of graphic and design work, they were fantastic. Havent played any games on them, but would highly recommend these.

Excellent value for money. I suspect this to be one of the best choices of monitors in the category. I am very satisfied with its performance and have found no evidence of leaks around the perimeter (as a review I had read might have suggested). Picture image is absolutely steady and color and detail are vivid and sharp. The frame around the image is arguably the thinnest in its category. This is a big plus when it comes to long sessions of work. Also, it would be a plus when using multiple monitors. As I expected, there is a relatively wide viewing angle from any direction - so there is little need to adjust the stand constantly. Again, during long sessions of work I change my angle and height of viewing quite a bit, the wide viewing angle is much more comfortable in such cases. One small issue I have noticed while testing is that I would have preferred a height adjustment on the stand. My preferred viewing height would have been about an inch shorter than the fixed 4.5 inch height (bottom of image to desktop). Sometimes I have to place the monitor on a standard tabletop at work, which is particularly where this need becomes apparent. I thought of mentioning this only for the manufacturers, but it is not really a big problem since I am quite accustomed to it even at this time, three weeks after putting the monitor into use. Since I use this monitor with a new build, its generic drivers were installed by Windows during assembly. However, I replaced these with the Acer drivers. Regardless of how impressed I was with this monitor, I have to state that although I have been a computer builder and business user/enthusiast for many years, I have not been able to figure out how to use the physical buttons on the monitor to tweak its settings - I gave up and used the Windows Control Panel instead. The monitor comes well tuned and does not need much or any tweaking out of the box. Overall, I think most customers would be entirely satisfied with buy and I recommend it highly.

I’ve been using this monitor for the past year without issues and think it is a great product for the price. I work from home so I am a heavy user of my monitor. My old monitor was beginning to flicker all of the time which led me down a research rabbit hole and ultimately deciding between this Acer model and an HP. I opted to go Acer because it was slightly cheaper. I could not be more pleased. Connections: there are numerous ports that connect to different cords so it is a breeze to switch from my laptop to my husband’s laptop and our Chromebook. My laptop is 99% attached. Colors and clarity: my old monitor was old and small and pixel-y so anything was a step up. I had lower expectations for this monitor given the price and really just needed something that did not flicker. The first day I plugged my laptop in I was amazed by the colors and the clarity of everything. The Microsoft lock screen that swaps new stock pictures daily is absolutely gorgeous. My eyes do better when looking at Excels too. Size: I went with the 23.8 bc I did not want to get something obnoxiously large. I almost regret not getting the 27 bc the monitor is so light and thin. The 23.8 is nowhere near overwhelming and definitely is a great everyday size that blends into a workspace, but don’t be afraid to go big. Reliability: I have been using this exactly a year and the monitor has had no issues. It’s been great. I highly recommend this monitor for anyone looking for a great monitor that is thin and light at a great price.
