The laptop does what you need it to do, but as others have mentioned, the fan runs. Constantly. It runs on startup and revs up so high I think its going to burn out. Webpage open? Fan runs. Nothing open? Fan runs. Bottom of the laptop heats up as well, regardless of how long its been on. I returned the first one I bought, but the new one does the same thing. I added extra RAM, and saw zero performance increase and zero fan decrease. I dont recommend it.

Overheated in hibernation mode. One day it wouldnt boot and it was red hot in HIBERNATE unpluged. Who would know? Used it only for streaming less than 2 hrs a day. Apparently a known issue per Acer site.....unbeknownst to be.... first purchase no issues. This was inferior. Contacted seller the offhanded me to Acer who doesnt reply. Seller wont reply. Guess they know.

I bought this laptop due to its price. The quality is better than the price. It is thin, but also comes packed with a nice 1080p screen. For the cost, it is fast as well. I been using it for my home office needs. If you are looking for something meets regular requirement, then this laptop is a perfect choice for you.

Purchase laptop to run zoom finding difficulty with audio

There is zero control for fans under linux, and the default, bios driven fan control is very, very over-exuberant in terms of cooling. From the moment you perform the simpliest task, the fans come on, stay on, and lord help you if you decide to do anything CPU intensive.

La laptop parece usada ya que vino rayada

The laptop is good and what you would expect for $300, no complaints there. But the power connection is like a micro microphone connection and is very fragile. We have 3 of these laptops, purchased 4 months ago and all 3 have issues; one power connector broke in half.

Me parece que estamos ante la reina del verano 2021 en cuanto a laptops accesibles y con más que buenas prestaciones.
