Do not waste your time with this. I thought I would look past the bad reviews of this product because it was affordable and I just need it for really simple Word docs. Well, day TWO of trying to use the computer and the mouse pad is not working at all. Looks like this has happened to multiple people. This was a terrible purchase, and I already threw away the box unfortunately. This was the worst purchase of my entire year.

This model is one of the lower end or entry level Aspire 5, its decently equipped for the price of $399. Some of the shortcomings have the option to be upgraded after you buy it, thanks to an open RAM slot, easily accessible M.2 drive and a space for a 2.5 Sata SSD or HDD. Unlike a lot of laptops coming out these days, Acer is not hostile towards repairs or upgrades to the machine. This is awesome and I wish that it was the status quo for laptop manufacturers.

The computer continues to have turn on issues and quits at times but doesn’t shut down.

Does what I need it for under $300. I will add more Ram. The OS takes up almost all 4gb imstalled. I know there are other chromebooks that are cheaper but I needed windows for some apps I own.

Estaba buscando una laptop para un familiar que comienza sus estudios, sin embargo actualmente todos los equipos electrónicos están a unos precios altísimos, y los pocos que se encuentran por debajo de los $10,000 MXN son equipos de muy bajo rendimiento como procesadores Celeron y HDD, este equipó sin embargo es la excepción con componentes de mas alto rendimiento como lo es el hecho de traer incluido SDD y un procesador I3.

I lost two laptops in the fall with the update. I tried installing my Office on this laptop, and it asked me for the key twice. The first time it said continue, but the second time, it said I couldnt use my software anymore because the key had been used too many times. I also had to download some special software from the microsoft store because they didnt recognize their own software. Then it said I was allowed to use my Office that I BOUGHT AND PAID FULL PRICE FOR for 29 days before it would stop working. So I tried to download the Microsoft word file that I had just uploaded from my other laptop to Microsoft OneDrive. It said I didnt have permission to view the file even though EVERYTHING is MICROSOFT and I am logged into EVERYTHING. The picture is that dull foggy look that makes me feel like my glasses are fogged up, and Im not wearing glasses. My other, smaller, laptop is crystal clear. It took a really long time to install my software, and this has a solid state drive, but the laptop is so difficult to use that I want to throw it away. Im very unhappy with it.

Muy buena computadora, solo la he utilizado para la facultad y me corre los programas office sin problemas y abiertos el google chrome, también programas como minitab, es rapida para lo que se ocupa,en calidad se siente bien los materiales y audio estan bien

Ive own 3 Dell laptops and would never have thought to buy another brand, however the day that I was due to purchase a new Dell, this Acer flashed up on my Amazon Treasure Truck deals and I believed it was a sign. Im so happy I bought it! A great deal! A great laptop! and boy am I happy! The only con is its not touchscreen but the pros out balance this and are also too numerous to mention!!

Just bought this laptop and received yesterday 1/11/22, description said it comes preloaded with windows 10 S mode, when I turned it on it was preloaded with windows 11 S mode. Cant revert back to windows 10 because Microsoft only gives you a 10 day grace period to do so once windows 11 has been installed, God only knows when that was, so now Im stuck with a brand new laptop with windows 11, the only way back is to attempt a full installation of windows 10, which probably isnt free, and hope everything works out afterward. Amazon you need to accurately list products so that others dont suffer the same fate!!!!!!!!!
