Ok, I have two little issues with this laptop (Acer Aspire 5 with Ryzen 5 4500U - 8gb ddr4 ram). The first one is that... You can add 8gb ddr4 for a total of (almost) 16gb ram, and it would work on dual channel (great) BUT, there is only a empty slot for ram, the other one is soldered to the motherboard, so, in order to keep the dual channel working, the max capability of ram you will have is 16gb, that, in MY experience, is the minimum recommended . I mean, there are cheaper models that have both modifiable memory slots, but they DECIDED to do it this way... Why? I do not know.

Works smooth and efficient. Mostly just surf net for research and work and write papers but I have been very pleased with performance so far!

Nice computer but the audio output jack requires a reboot for the computer to recognize it and change from external to headphones. I had to return the computer. Other than that i loved it...but 560$ is too much for that kind of issue to deal with. I tried updating erything that could possibly update (bios too) but the issue remained..

The laptop itself is very nice, Ive been happy with it. But, after 6 months the charger went out. Since everything is still under warranty, we called Acer. They said their system was down and they could not do anything about our request at the time and to call back in three days, we called back after three days and was told that the system is still down and to call back in a week. They said they would more than likely send us a new charger but it would take two weeks. This is ridiculous. Are you telling me a tech company as big as Acer, systems down for two weeks?? I dont think so. Im having to write this review on someone elses computer 7 days after my original phone call, because their system is still down.

I bought this computer to watch some YouTube videos, play the occasional video game, sometimes work, and write up some word documents. Not really doing anything crazy, the typical personal computer. I bought this computer in March and about 2 months after purchase I noticed it really struggle to load some content. Wasnt a big deal until about 5 months in when I couldnt do anything else on the computer if I had a YouTube video streaming. I started to use this computer for single functions at a time and it was working ok. Now, about 6 months into owning this laptop I am trying to do some pre recorded online classes for work. Not live, not remote work, just pulling videos off of an online school program. I could not load the video at all. Overall...if you are doing very simple stuff that doesnt require internet access...buy this laptop. If you want a laptop to act how you expect...dont buy this. Dont let the attractive price and the good name of Acer distract you. Many corners were cut when creating the hardware for this computer.

Lets start woth the shipping . It was Lightning fast ! 7 days from usa to my house in israel , shipings within israel usually take the same time !

If youre gonna try to use this thing for college dont. The battery life is very underwhelming and only lasts 5 hours(As Specified). However I just dont see it being enough for an all day type of thing. If you are gonna buy something and need to use it all day ide suggest saving a lil more. Also the trackpad sometimes moves the pointer as I click which is annoying and palm rejection is pretty much not there.
