Amazing performance for your money. It has a decent battery life for surfing the web and light work and at times even better than what the manufacturer specified. Noise free and the heat is kept to the low side when you are not doing any labor intensive work or gaming. It run my CAD programs with ease.

Bought this to use as a everyday laptop for college. Its got very decent specs for the price which was the main reason I picked it, along with it featuring the new Ryzen 4000 series CPU. Its even sleek looking, thin, and has a sturdy build quality. The screen quality is also really nice. Easy to setup and use. However, as soon as I started using it for a few hours to watch movies, the screen started showing artifacts and became unresponsive. Next thing I know, theres a BSOD which repeatedly showed up even after resetting the laptop. Maybe I just got unlucky?

Ive been working on personal computers since the early 80s, and feel more than proficient in learning new software and processes. But I am not a super techy person, and the inside hardware details of usual laptop reviews escape me. So, when my laptop aged out (got clumsy about handling upgrades) and I felt the need to upgrade to a new system, I made a list of what I wanted to experience with a better machine.

TL;DR: amazing laptop all around. If youre on the fence, Id suggest getting it. The feature set at this price point is something that only one other laptop has, and I still believe the keyboard is better on this one. Ryzen 5 4500u is as good or better than 10th gen i5 intel laptop CPUs (Zen 2 cores make a ginormous difference). 6c/6t.

Quick and easy computer great for the price. I like it and actually bought two a year apart. Well thought out and they even give you extra parts to order an additional hard drive and memory to install if youd like. I did and it was easy.

I had an Acer laptop purchased in 2012, and it had intel dual-cores system. It was probably too old because my old Acer laptop took at least 3 minutes to start setting up desktop and to complete whole process. Anyway, let me share my thoughts about this one--Acer Aspire 5. Its a completely different and amazing laptop Ive ever had!

It lasted just over one year. Poor keyboard quality. Poor performance - can barely hit 30 fps on most basic games. Invest in a better quality computer

CHARGING PORT DIDNT FOR CRAP, OLD STYLE AND WIGGLED SO THE CHARGING KEPT GOING ON AND OFF, ALSO DURING SET UP UNNECESSARY AD APPS WANTED TOO MUCH PERSONAL AND UNNECESSARY INFORMATION OR THE COMPUTER WOULDNT ALLOW FURTHER ABILITY TO CONTINUE INITIAL SET UP. INTERCHANGING THRU TO GOOGLE WASNT A SMOOTH TRANSITION EITHER, LIKE MY WINDOWS PROGRAMS HAVE ALWAYS HAVE BEEN. WHEN CALLING COSTUMER SERVICEABOUT HOW TO DO A FACTORY RESET BEFORE SHIPPING BACK, DUE CHARGING PORT BAD, CUSTOMER SERVICE VERY RUDE. I NO LONGER WANTED THAT BRAND OF COMPUTER.
