> 24 hourI was so excited to see this laptop available for review, as I’ve never used an Acer gaming laptop before. Even though this is using 12th gen Intel and Nvidia 3000 graphics, I still think there are plenty of people who will be fine with this in 2023 (despite it not using the absolute newest internals, as those are more expensive and don’t necessarily deliver the greatest value). To be clear, this is still powerful hardware and it’s very capable of delivering a good experience playing the newest games, just be sensible about your graphical settings and accept that you will need to use reconstruction technologies like DLSS or FSR in some cases. You may even need to run games at a 720p-900p output (rather than 1080p).

> 24 hourI run plenty of games through this thing with all my other tabs open in browsers and this thing has no issues. Have had it for 6+ months and don’t really have any complaints. I wish the GPU was a bit more powerful for games like COD but overall hitting 100+ fps in all titles is relatively easy at the lower end of graphic settings.

> 24 hourLaptop battery indicator didnt even light up when plugged in. Tested on multiple outlets to be sure it wasnt that power strip. No dice. Total dud. Box was within manufacturers box cushioned, but was then packaged in a larger box just... sliding around. I dont blame the harried workers making subpar wages and getting a pittance of benefits forced to scramble to get product out. Union strong, but man this was a bummer.

> 24 hourWe dont know whats going on with this laptop, but as soon as we hit the 2 hours mark the screen starts to perform poorly, we need to restart the stupid laptop to get it back on track, also the battery sucks.

> 24 hourI needed to replace my previous laptop after 5+ years, but I didnt want to break the bank. After researching different gaming laptops, the Acer Nitro 5 stood out as the best balance between price and performance.
