No complaints here, picture is good and speakers are decent enough

  • Good monitor

I started playing PC last year. Over the past year I have been either upgrading or adding on to my set up. I’m telling you having two monitors is worth it! But this monitor is WELL WORTH IT! It is 170fps, the picture is good… a little TOO GOOD. Since it has a higher fps I use it to game, and after a couple minutes I noticed the difference and the picture is amazing. Trust me you will realize.

-Not perfect though. The stand is bad, always wobbles. Build quality is decent -Brightness is not that great, but how bright do you need it? Also I wish they had put the connectors on the back instead of under it. - The picture quality is excellent, the colors are the best part of this monitor; very vibrant and accurate. Ive experienced eye fatigue from other monitors with similar specs, but not with this monitor. Fortunately the backlight bleed is minimal, there is only some slight glow on the bottom corners. Not as sharp as 4k of course. -Excellent for gaming Very smooth 144hz picture, maybe slight blur. It is free sync capable and gsync compatible, so you can get tear free gaming with either an amd or nvidia graphics card. I would buy this again. I wouldnt pay much for a similar monitor

I purchased the 27 QHD version of this monitor two months ago and so far it has been great. Coming from a 60hz, 1080p monitor this thing is buttery smooth during gaming and QHD resolution is a huge step up from FHD. The menu took a little getting use to as far as navigation since my old monitor didnt have a joystick, but its fairly easy and the connectivity is great. The 4-port USB 3 hub is also incredibly convenient for plugging in mic, webcam, external storage drives or whatever else you may need quick access to. A lot of reviewers complained about how dim it was and the IPS glow, but neither has been a problem for me. I have brightness at 100% and while the display isnt going to blind you, it is perfect for my viewing. Also there is some IPS glow around the edges but only noticeable in the dark when the screen in black, which is not a problem as I dont use my computer in the dark. I liked this monitor so much I got one for my brother for his birthday and he thinks its great too. As feature rich as this monitor is, its a steal if you can get it for $300 or less.

Moving from a 144hz to 240hz I really did notice a difference, especially in games like Fortnite. I think this monitor is one of the first for newer 240hz monitors at a lower price point, I got on sale for $300 which I think is the long term price point for this class of product.

Recently I bought a new gaming PC, that included an MSi Gaming Trio RTX 3080, but being bottlenecked by my 60hz 1080p monitor, I might as well have been plaing on a GTX 1080. Wanting to push more of the limits of my new GPU, I purchased this monitor. Going from 60hz 1080p gaming to 144hz 1440p gaming is a large jump. The smoothness is unparralled by any monitor Ive seen, and it is dramatically noticeable when changing the settings back to 60hz. There is clearly a lot more detail at 1440p as well. The games look that much more realistic and look way more beautiful. Definitely a good addition to any person who enjoys gamings tech collection. The colors look better than my last monitor also. I think there could be more color callibration features, but thats something Ill work out and maybe update my review upon figuring out. But so far, the brightness and color looks fine great, being an IPS monitor with HDR. Although you supposedly cant get overdrive and HDR at the same time, the display has very accurate colors regardless. The overdrive is already preconfigured, but most monitors benefit most from the normal setting for overdrive, in order to get that response-time down and decrease motion blur for a true 144fps experience. I dont notice much motion blur, everything looks smooth as butter to me, but this is also my first time viewing a 144hz monitor. But regardless, its a giant leap from 60hz 1080p in terms of image quality and video smoothness, and Im happy with this purchase, and will now get to experience better what my PC is capable of.

This monitor is great! As someone who plays FPS games like Valorant, CSGO, and etc the monitor is excellent. This colors are little off but you change that with Nvidia Control Panel. I upgraded from a 1080p 165hz display and this new monitor feels night and day. Its so much more responsive, crisp, and smooth while in games. I dont know what to say its just that good. Ive had no issues with this monitor.

tl:dr- For you more modest or humble setup, this is your monitor. The least bloated option for when you simply just want a great monitor to meet a variety of gaming needs. Out of the box it will take a lot of toying to configure the perfect cornea burning experience. You can save profiles which I really dont care about as well as a wealth of other options you might want to google unless youre experienced or enthusiast level. Its expansion port can also give you 2x USB 3.0 out of one with is a nice cherry on to. A bit heavy, most new monitors are, rounded stand takes up a bit of space. Higher smoother frames always beat out a 4k experience on my book unless you and your buddies want a full couch gaming experience or a home theater gaming experience.

If you are looking to step up from FHD, I suggest QHD. I tried 4K and the adoption of 4K isnt there yet. This Acer Nitro has everything I needed for editing photo/video. It features 10-bit colors, so thats 1 billion colors vs the industry standard 8-bit which is only 16 million colors. The Amazon add doesnt state it but it is a true 10-bit monitor. Next, it has Rec.709 profiles already built in so its great for video. It has the 170hz refresh rate so great for high-speed video. Highly recommend, especially at the price.
