  • Good monitor

    > 3 day

I started playing PC last year. Over the past year I have been either upgrading or adding on to my set up. I’m telling you having two monitors is worth it! But this monitor is WELL WORTH IT! It is 170fps, the picture is good… a little TOO GOOD. Since it has a higher fps I use it to game, and after a couple minutes I noticed the difference and the picture is amazing. Trust me you will realize.

First of all, I want to admit that I always hated Acer, because their product quality wasnt good ( i.e Notebooks, from personal experience) so it was always my last resort to buy their product. Global pandemic and ruined economy forced me to lower my standards and buy this product. I wanted this monitor for pure gaming experience. I switched from 4K TV and 1080p monitor would be too much downgrade for me, so i thats why i chose this monitor. First impression of this monitor was really bad. Colors were washed out and white colors looked very yellowish. i tried tweaking some color options but it was still terrible. I wanted to send it back, BUT i found a solution. If anyone is having similar experience, this is what i did (Only for Nvidia graphics cards): right click on desktop and go to Nvidia control panel > Change Resolution > Option 3. Use Nvidia Color settings. (tick this) > Set output Dynamic range to full. Now switch to Adjust video color settings > Option 2. With the Nvidia Settings > Advanced > Dynamic range (Full 0-255). Apply And done. After this, it looks like pure IPS monitor and not like TN one. Colors look really good with this options turned on, feels like a different monitor. (I dont know if AMD owners can do this as well...) For gaming this monitor is good as well, i didnt have any major issues yet. it has little bit of ghosting around 85 FPS, so 144fps players might see more of it. Nothing too major in my opinion but everyone has their preference. Shadow boost feature is meh, but some might like it. Built-in speaker quality is not good also, sound is too low even at max. Lastly, power on button has terrible placement. Turning on this monitor without touching your screen is a challenge. Would i suggest this monitor to a friend who is on Budget? Yes. Would i buy this monitor if i had extra 100$ to spend? No. Its been 1 month without any issues, i will keep my review updated if anything goes bad before the warranty. 3.5/5 stars

Got this monitor for $170 and it is definitely one of my favorite upgrades to my setup. The picture quality is amazing and the refresh rate and response times are great for gaming.

Pros: Great value and build quality. Easily adjustable stand height and angle. Very high refresh rate. Included cables are good quality. Cons: Matte screen is meant to diffuse glare, but it instead it seems to add a low amount of uniform glare from any angle. (I would rather just change my monitor angle and have a glossy screen with deeper blacks.) 2K resolution is ok but 4K would be noticeably better. LED, not OLED. For the price, this is a solid monitor. 4.5 stars If you want a 5 star monitor, spend another $500+

I have had this monitor for about 6 months now and its great. It serves as my 2nd monitor currently. Havent had 1 issue with it to date. The speakers arent amazing but theyre no worse than any other monitor. Stand is fairly compact and very sturdy. All and all I would recommend it for sure

Good monitor so far. Clear and good colors. Bright, to me at least

This is an excellent LCD HDR monitor. I have never used HDR but have previously used 144hz 2k monitors (Acer XG270HU for reference). My other Acer 2k monitor uses a TN panel, which has poor viewing angles and color reproduction, but this one produces excellent colors after I changed the color bit depth to 10bpc and configured the monitor colors. I only have a couple of games which support HDR but one I tried (Red Dead Redemption 2) looks amazing, though it was somewhat difficult to get working correctly. Pros: VESA compatible Extremely bright Excellent Wide Color Gamut reproduction Height Adjustable (I remember reading a couple of reviews saying it had no height adjustment, but it does) 144Hz QHD 27 is the perfect combination of resolution, refresh rate, and pixel size Cons: Was a little difficult to set up HDR in windows and be sure everything was working correctly.

The image and build quality are quite nice on this monitor, but I noticed initially the brightness was very low, even at 100%. For whatever reason, after a few days the monitor seemed to warm up and the brightness came to an acceptable level. From about a week onward the monitor has been plenty bright even at 60%. If you notice the brightness is not very high, try giving it a few days to see if it improves.

Im more on the color accuracy side of things than gaming, but I wanted the high refresh panel for gaming when I would. I can confirm this is a native 10 bit panel, however you need to use displayport to use hdr and anything past 60hz and 1440p. Displayport 1.2 and 1.3 support 1440p 120hz 10bit chrome 4:4:4, but you need dp 1.4 to use 144hz with this configuration. Hdmi will not support this at all with 120hz, or youll have to drop down to 1080p You can use windows hdr with this panel and see anything you want in hdr (youtube vids, hdr movies) but non hdr content looks terrible and washed out unless you turn off hdr manually in windows and the monitor settings. This is a windows problem not a display one. Any hdr content on this gets extremely bright and the blacks are still very very dark. You can use it next to a window no problem. I actually recommend you use this monitor with lots of ambient light, getting it to darken for indoor usage means you loose some shadow details Screen uniformity is amazing. See attached pictures, theres is no banding or dirty effects. Backlight uniformity is pretty good but not 100%. I didnt attach a picture because the camera made it look way way worse than it really looked in real life. I used stock settings for those screen uniformity pictures (brightness 50, contrast 50, bfi off, gamma 2.4) Its using an ahva panel from what I can tell, I dont think the viewing angles are at ips levels, and it gets too dark for an ips panel. Its viewing angles angles are still very strong though, close to that of ips screens

Some of the color is a little off. Reds look wrong. The lack of remote is a pain as even stringing the volume is a hassle. Overall great for the money
