I got this for my fiancee for fathers day as a gift from me and my daughter (his soon to be step daughter) and his daughter (my soon to be step daughter).

Very pleased with this laptop in terms of speed, noise level, and features. There is a slight amount of light bleed around the edges of the screen, but I dont use it in a dark room so it really isnt a problem for me. One of the reasons I chose this model was for ease of access for a SSD addition as a secondary drive; very straightforward. (I didnt have to remove the motherboard like some competitors do.)

It lasted a little over 2 years and began to malfunction. I looked online and this seems to be pretty common, a hardware failure. Random crashes and a black screen with no bootable device on it. Of course its 3 months past warranty...

When it works its a pretty good gaming laptop, has a good battery life, runs games well and has beautiful picture. Problem is after a year its practically useless. I bought it in August of last year and now 1 week after the 1 year warranty expired the screen goes black and displays nothing, so if you do buy it at least be sure to get the extended warranty because it will stop functioning. Honestly itd be a much better option to sacrifice some of the performance for durability because 1 year of use is pretty pathetic.

I’ve been looking for an affordable gaming laptop and this is what the most people suggested, so far i like the performance of the laptop, but i already expected the battery, i know it’s more faster compared to other laptops, but since it uses alot of battery because of the good specs and power and all. but overall i am satisfied

From opening and closing the laptop various times the wire for the video camera fails if you don’t have it at a certain viewing angle. I didn’t do my research properly but the video camera wire is notorious for failing in this particular modal.

This has been the perfect solution for my 15 year old as a gaming laptop. The screen is crisp and it is a great entry level gaming machine. It plays everything on Steam, which is where he plays most of his games. Ive had it for over a year now and wanted to wait on the review. It is still running strong. Im very happy with it.

after the lcd screen failed after ONLY 2 MONTHS of use, I sent to Acer for repair. AND THEY SENT MY LAPTOP BACK TO ME AFTER A MONTH IN THIS CONDITION. I am extremely disappointed that Acer would not refund or replace my product after reporting this to them asap.

This computer has had no issues running any games, been playing the new call of duty at about 80-90 fps without changing any graphics settings. Also have been using the computer for a ton of school work and havent noticed any issues. If it wasnt for the computer getting hot really easily (Its about 80 degrees when gaming), and being super loud with its fans, then I would give this computer 5 stars. The battery life is horrendous only about 3 hours, but I am always near a plug so it doesnt bother me. The only thing that I dont know why it occurs and it could be my internet, but every now and then videos/spotify wont work and I have to restart the computer. Again not big issues and things that dont bother me, but it could bother others.
