For the money this a good laptop. I like the empty compartment for a 2.5 HDD. So far my only negative opinion about is the layout of the keyboard keys. The number pad is poorly designed and steps away from the standard layout as the number zero is one key space to the left than the Standard.

Lets start off with the obvious and most discussed element of this laptop. The battery on this thing is an absolute nightmare with the life span of a mayfly, so plan on leaving it plugged in most the time. Ive even had it randomly stop charging when the cord gets bumped or slightly moved which is a first. That said, the laptop itself delivers. Its a sturdy gaming laptop with clear picture, a good engine and can handle high demand games (which is heck of a thing to be able to say about a gaming laptop). The casing design is a bit silly but Im convinced that sucker could withstand being dropped from passing plane its so tough. For the price, this is a great buy.

The computer just kept shutting off randomly every time I gamed... Super unfortunate cause I really enjoyed the computer but ended up returning gonna try a different brand. :(

I’ve only used this computer a few times since I purchased it as I wanted to use it for photo editing. It continually freezes up and I can’t do anything at all with it. One of my worst purchases ever. So disappointed. Going to have to return it.

Its a good gaming laptop but mine came with a stuck pixel near the center and the backlight for spacebar is not working. Im not in the US so I cant have this fix also i think they need to have at least 6 pixel with problems for then to replace the screen.

decent laptop for the price if it worked the way it should. Im not sure if its this model but getting a constant 15-25 fps on Farcry 3 on LOW settings is absurd. Constantly above 90 temp and constant thermal throttling due to that. Im in the military and chose this laptop because I thought it would be pretty decent to game with on the side while not working but boy was I wrong. Atleast 1-2 hours a week is spent looking up how to fix these issues with nothing working for me. I wish I went with a better brand if it meant the quality would be better,

So recommended. Is a fast laptop. I dont have any problems with cooling. I bought a cooling base and works well.

So when it just came, everything was perfect. Looked good, powered up good and functioned good. But the wifi fails to connect after 3 or maybe 4 days of playing league of legends, a game which literally requires no graphic & memory & CPU performance. Overheating? Yes but Im fine with it. Noise? Yes Im fine. Other detail issues? Yes but Im still fine. But it is not cool at all when your internet component started to fail at a rate of 1/5minutes and ended up with 1/minute. You know what is even funnier, I cannot even upload a picture because the wifi just constantly fail when I am literally writing this review. At first I thought it might be my wifi, but I contacted RCN and troubleshoot it, and then at the mean time I switched back to my Mac and the game went perfectly fine. So I thought it might work this time, but ended up with an EPIC FAIL. I also updated my network card drive and ended up even worse. Well I am not blaming Acer but I do wanna say thanks for ruining my winter vacation. Going back to college now lmao. Oh and another thing, I cannot submit this review now because I am disconnected.
