> 3 dayi havent had the laptop for even a year (5 months) and its already acting up. wifi i get speeds of 8mbps max and 400 tethered. but my almost 6year old i3 hp gets 300mbps on wifi. i am extremely disappointed with this product and the battery life is terrible, also Amazons tech support is a joke. they are going to refund the cost of the laptop but charge me a 150 restocking fee because i didnt return it with in 30 days. they will sell a charging cord for a phone and give 6month return window but a thousand dollar laptop gets 30days. both Acer and Amazon should be ashamed for putting out such a trash product. shame

> 3 dayIve only had this computer for about a month almost and I keep getting a blue screen that shuts down and restarts my computer. This helps no one when you spend so much money on it. I work from home, trade options and lve stream on facebook and youtube. I thought it would help but I guess I have to send it back or have t repaired?? Work Stopped.

> 3 dayIve been using this computer for about a month so far and Ive been pleased. The touchpad works fine and with the SSD the boot up time is great. I put a secondary hard drive in and the installation was easy. Ive read complaints about the fan noise but Ive noticed it occasionally when gaming but it hasnt been bad at all. I usually wear headphones anyway. My only complaint is the finish does show smudges easily and the lid can show little scratches also easily. The performance has been great so far. Ive done a little gaming and have not noticed any lag. Ive been happy with the purchase.

> 3 dayI had been waiting indefinitely for video card prices to come down after the bitcoin bubble, and the Helios 300 allowed me to get a 1060 and 144Hz screen at a competitive price compared to a new desktop. The two drawbacks are obvious: heat management and battery life. Compared to any other similarly priced laptop, this thing sucks down power and dies in 4 hours; its expected and I simply expect to be plugged in if Im using much CPU/GPU. As for heat management, Ive got Throttlestop downvolting the CPU as many in the reviews for this laptop have done, I use fan management software, I have a cooling pad, and I just accept that the fans are going to be loud. Everything else is amazing as advertised: the 144Hz screen with improved color range from previous models, I love the feel of the keyboard and the numpad, the CPU is amazing for any windows tasks and it even has enough RAM to run Chrome.

> 3 dayADVICE: IF YOU BUY THIS LAPTOP, IMMEDIATELY UPDATE THE INTEL SSD FIRMWARE AND DRIVERS. The Intel SSD Toolbox software thats freely available on Intels website should identify and fix the issues I had before they cause you the same headache.
