Awesome laptop overall. Great buid quality and performance. Perfect general purpose laptop that happens to be good at moderate to heavy gaming. I would say if you are looking for a hardcore gaming laptop its a good budget buy but Id suggest investing a little more for gtx graphics card option but other than that it will run just about any games on moderate settings without a problem. Not the best lap top due to the amount of heat when you put it through the paces but to be expected if your gaming. The turbo button is great and very effective when needed just know as any machine would at full RPMs its fairly loud. Mouse pad is very responsive and smooth, I like how it uses Microsoft drivers so you get their gestures which are standardized. Screen is the only downside with the lack of color gamut and brightness for direct sunlight use or digital creation but will still get the job done. The peripherals give you the option to connect a monitor via HDMI to mitigate this problem if needed. No thunderbolt connection but with the problems this port has Im personally ok with not having it. I would desire an SD card reader because I use this machine for video and photo editing but thats just my preference. I run davinci resolve for video editing and havent had a problem doing 1080p video editing, 4k is doable just requires a little more patience. Overall nothing bad to say about this device highly recommend for anyone wanting a gaming laptop at a reasonable price.

Need to add a hard drive after purchase. But that is easy and their is room for 2 additional hard drives and ssd and an ssd.m2.

I purchased this to replace my 3 year old gaming laptop that was due for an upgrade. The specs on this unit were an obvious improvement and the price made sense for the performance. I consistently get 50-100% higher FPS playing my standard games.

Upgrading from a 6 year old HP pavilion 15 series was emotional beyond description. A core i5 3rd gen, 8gb ram and nvidia 720M turned out to be too less for straining Photo editing and other gruesome media functionalities, especially with the constant updates demanding more performance from the hardware. A powerful gaming laptop with a good screen at a not bad price point, well, that was the sweet spot that this Helios 300 touched smoothly. Received the Predator yesterday from Amazon (delivered to the Middle East) and it met every expectation I had.

ive had this laptop for a few years now, havent come across any problems except for the fact that i always need to keep it plugged in because if i dont, itll die within 45minutes to an hour. not a big problem tho

Has been close to a month since I got this laptop, so far I havent faced any problems and it is going perfectly fine. Really recommended if anyone wants to get a laptop with a similar price point. The only thing that this falls off in is battery life, which is expected, but it still isnt the worst at that even.

Cant beat the price when this was on sale. Havent found a game it cant handle to this point. Battery will not last if youre using this computer for the reason you most likely got it though. Got to treat this like a desktop that has the ability to use on the go occasionally.
