Greater than one weekIve never owned anything AcuRite. I dont even own the weather station you usually need to use with this. What I do own are several Raspberry Pis and an RTL_SDR. Getting this to be read couldnt have been easier. I simply installed rtl_433, and ran it. No commandline arguments required. In just a few seconds, it came back with the product identifier (a unique but static number that lets you distinguish one device from another), the temperature in Celsius, the humidity as a percentage, and the status of the battery (just a boolean value for either OK or not). This device sends out updates approximately every 15 seconds (though this varies by a few seconds each time; this is by design, to avoid packet collisions). The accuracy seems fine to me. When I got it, I stuck it beside our nest thermostat, and the temps were spot on. The humidity did read a few points low though, but I only care about the temps, so that doesnt matter to me that much. So far, Ive just been reading the temps manually, but eventually, I plan to write some scripts, or maybe just connect these to Home Assistant, to set up some alarms for when the garage is about to freeze, or for when the freezers are about to unfreeze. So far, Ive only put one in the garage, but Ive ordered a few more to monitor the fridges and freezers. For the price, you really cant go wrong.

Greater than one weekThe original AcuRite weather station sensor stopped working and a whole new weather station was almost $100. Figured I had nothing to lose trying this replacement. Put in batteries (not included), let it sit next to the base station for 30 minutes and all was synched. Works like a charm! Very happy.

> 3 dayThis works perfectly with my ACURITE weather station. It’s the replacement part I have needed.

Greater than one weekI got three of these in a set with a display four years ago. One of them stopped working correctly, so I had to buy a replacement. I know electronics dont last forever, but four years seems kind of short.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace the exact same sensor that originally came with my AcuRite weather station. The sensor that came with my weather staton was constantly losing connection. I tried everything numerous times, such as replacing the batteries, resetting its base station, changing locations many times, etc. Nothing worked. Since I have been using the new sensor, everything is working fine once again, and the sensor is no longer losing contact with the base station. I was quite disappointed that the original sensor only lasted two years before having to be replaced.

Greater than one weekAfter I contacted acurite to verify that this 06009RMA1 Replacement Temperature Sensor was the correct one. I decided to purchase the used one and saved a few dollars. Why not? as the warranty and return policy are the same. It started sending as soon as I put the batteries in it. hopefully it will continue for a few years like the last one. Although the original was kept completely out of the rain and sun. I noticed considerable corrosion on the battery terminal (one). The circuits on the inside of the unit appeared to be fine....perfect actually. I cant say if the battery terminal was the reason for the failure but that is what I believe. It looked to be of stainless steel construction yet it had severe corrosion.

> 3 dayThis was a replacement sensor that was about over ten years old. I went to the AcuRite website via their Amazon store and easily found the sensor that would work for my Thermometer. There are different options so be careful when choosing as not all sensors work with all there thermometers or weather stations. I put two batteries in my new sensor and it worked like a charm.

> 3 dayOutside temp on my Indoor / Outdoor Thermometer was wonky. Worked sort of and often looked like the batteries were dying though they were new. So just planned to buy a new I/O Thermometer. Didnt find any I liked as much as the one I have. Then I found this sensor replacement. Outside temp & humidity are back with no issues. Hopefully good for another 5 years or so, and at about 1/4 the cost.
