I owned a different ADATA drive in the past and this one seems better. Most of my issues came from the cable being left plugged in as to not lose it but this drive medigates that issue by having a way to keep the cable attached to itselfe at all times. the speed is highly acceptable for my purposes and the drive works great for computer backups.

Product arrived on time, in good condition to my porch. It is as advertised and the colors are very nicely done. The black in the picture is actually more of a carbon fiber look. My only concern/complaint is, as others have stated, the USB cord included with the product. The cord is very stiff which makes it difficults to position the HD and I wonder how long the built in holder will last. The connection to the HD itself is a special plug i havent seen used before so it may be hard to find a replacement and it doesnt fit snugly a wiggle of the cord and my mac was screaming about not ejecting it properly. 4 stars for build quality and capacity being as advertised. A better cord and def a five star product

The external harddrive is nice, but the accompanying software is difficult to use and is not compatible with newer Windows.

I use it for Mac OS 11 Time machine and it couldnt be better for me. I just plugged it in formatted it set it for Time Machine backup and off it went. The USB connection is firm and stable. Sooo much better than firewire 800 or thunderbolt. The drive it hard and rubberized for durability.

This is a second ADATA hard drive that I purchased. The first one was very good, high quality and appeared to be invincible. This hard drive is a much lighter and doesn’t feel as durable and, having some issues with the connection, my laptop takes awhile to recognizing the HD once plugged in. Again I compare the two ADATA HDs. I’m not sure if I would buy it again. For now it meets my needs.

Works great so far for storing pics and files rather than using cloud.

While this drive is rugged I sill do not disturb it while the disk is spinning. Most ruggedness tests test drives while they are unplugged and not running. That is great and all but its just as important for the drive be shock and motion resistant while in use. Id like to see some one abuse the tar out of a drive while the inner disk is spinning in addition to when it is unplugged. That would be a true test of ruggedness. Adata is a good brand that in general keeps getting better. I you have not considered Adata, check them out.

I purchased this hard drive in Sept 2020. I use it for travel and unplug the cable every time it is moved and it stays in a case during travel. By December 2020, roughly used 8 times, the USB cable would only complete the connection if the cable was pushed at an down angle at the drive. I then contacted ADATA for warranty and they asked me to send it in after they verified it was still under warranty I sent the drive in on Dec 12, 2020 and received an email on Dec 17, 2020 that my return was accepted and a new drive was going to be shipped in 3 -5 days. It is now Jan 2021 and I still do not have a replacement drive. It took several calls and emails before I finally talked to someone and was told that the drive was on back order so they could not ship me one. I stated to them that could send me a different drive as long as it had the same specs or a refund because they couldnt even tell me when they were going to get new drives even though I could order the same drive on Amazon and get it tomorrow. I was told that was not an option and I would have to wait. Horrible customer service.
