> 3 dayProduct arrived on time, in good condition to my porch. It is as advertised and the colors are very nicely done. The black in the picture is actually more of a carbon fiber look. My only concern/complaint is, as others have stated, the USB cord included with the product. The cord is very stiff which makes it difficults to position the HD and I wonder how long the built in holder will last. The connection to the HD itself is a special plug i havent seen used before so it may be hard to find a replacement and it doesnt fit snugly a wiggle of the cord and my mac was screaming about not ejecting it properly. 4 stars for build quality and capacity being as advertised. A better cord and def a five star product

> 3 dayI use it for Mac OS 11 Time machine and it couldnt be better for me. I just plugged it in formatted it set it for Time Machine backup and off it went. The USB connection is firm and stable. Sooo much better than firewire 800 or thunderbolt. The drive it hard and rubberized for durability.

> 3 dayI bought these to do timemachine backups for all my designers Macs. I just got 10 brand new 27 iMacs and since our data servers cant handle all the files due to space constraints my designers were storing their files on their iMacs. At least this way should something happen, we have a backup. Ive used timemachine since it was introduced by Apple years ago and it has saved my bacon many times. These drives are pretty cool looking and all the designers love the look. I purchased 10 of the blue, and one yellow for myself just to be different. The rubber guard do come off if you use force, however, since some of my folks are ham fisted, I guarantee they will at some point drop them, or spill something. We will see how they hold up over time. So far, so good...

> 3 dayI owned a different ADATA drive in the past and this one seems better. Most of my issues came from the cable being left plugged in as to not lose it but this drive medigates that issue by having a way to keep the cable attached to itselfe at all times. the speed is highly acceptable for my purposes and the drive works great for computer backups.

Just like the Lacie rugged, I expect them to survive a three-four foot fall with no damage. We will see how they hold up over time. So far, so good...

Greater than one weekI purchased this drive so Id have something rugged and safe to store my pictures on that I could take with me. Something I could throw in my carry-on luggage and not worry about it getting banged around like you would with most hard drives. From that standpoint, its been good. The thing has always been fine getting thrown in a bag and knocked around a bit. That said, there is one MAJOR flaw in the design. The short USB3 cable can be unplugged from the drive, and it is very loose where it attaches to drive itself. Because of the direction of the cables tension, it puts stress on this connection and causes it to get looser and looser over time. After a few months I got to the point where now, any time I plug it in, a slight bump of the drive or the table it is resting on will cause it to wiggle loose enough to lose connection with the drive. Of course, this is akin to unplugging the drive from your computer with out properly ejecting it first, and puts your data at risk every time it happens (which is often). In the end, youre left with a rugged drive that can take a beating, but can lose your data with the slightest bump or nudge to the surface its resting on. Its not even usable on plane rides anymore (the primary purpose I purchased it for) because the vibration of the plane alone will shake the the cable loose of the drive, causing an improper ejection from the computer and sometimes corrupting the data.
