Greater than one weekMy sister and I bought a Nintendo Switch around 3 months ago. It’s nice to play with it, but for platforming solo games? The D-pad doesn’t help. So I decided to buy this controller to use with the Switch. And design wise, it’s the closest to use a ps4 controller, but on Switch. It’s comfortable to play titles like Megaman Zero and Hollow Knight with this controller. It really takes you back to the ps1 feel. The only thing that bothers me, is the action button rotulation, it would’ve helped if the X, Y, A, B were carved or popped out, not laminated like it is. Overall, it’s the best 3rd party controller you’ll ever get. Really recommend it. Ps. I tried connecting this product to my iPad. It says it connects to MacOS, yet I tried to connect it to IOS, it did connect, and my iPad reads the device as “DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller”. It was an awesome surprise. 8bitDo. Please, update the products’ info cause it does connect to iPad. Keep up the good work.

> 3 dayPurchased this controller to get away from my clunky PC/Android emulation setup (DS4Windows on PC, OTG cable for Android). Controller felt great in my hands and handled well aside from a bit of play in the Dpad. A month later started seeing left analog stick drift. I could work it out by rotating the stick a few times before use. As of yesterday the Dpad has become completely unusable with dpad rolling and constantly phantom inputting. I am a heavy user (everyday for 2-6 hours and easily 8+ on my days off) but my PS4 controller has been used the same for years and its just fine. I contacted support and was told they have no facilities in the US and Id have to send it to them in China to get it replaced. Unfortunately with the cost and current state of the world thats pretty much not happening. If you choose to buy this, it is a great design and really comfortable for long gaming sessions but given my experience I cant recommend it for any long term use.

24-11-2024Something happened, I own about 5 of these controllers for my whole family and one of the updates caused Bluetooth paring with xinput (windows) to have problems, the controller will pair but disconnect after some time and shut down. This happens with all of my 8bitdo pro2, it happens on more then one PC in the house. I can get them working with the Switch no problem and have a work around with the 8bitdo dongle but uh yea these went from the favorite controller in the house to mostly unusable, Ive even tried to roll back the firmware and no luck its very disappointing

> 3 dayThe controller is no brainer, its excellent. But never received the bag that was advertised with it for only that reason i rated 3 star.

> 3 dayI had a problem with another controller and contacted them. They helped me try to fix it and then helped with the return. The new one works great and lives up to the reviews I had seen. Definitely recommend

> 3 dayThis one is the best for 2d platformers and indie games in general . Very comfortable grip, connects well to my switch and my Android phone. I wish they included the cellphone clip with it instead of charging an extra $10 but being able to play ocarina of Time and windwaker on my phone seamless has made this controller worth every penny. If youre looking for a pro controller replacement, Id recommend buying one of those knockoff switch pro controllers they sell on wish, but for 2d platformers and one that will connect to all your devices this is it.

> 3 dayWorks well with my IPad for mobile gaming, set up and instructions were easy. Works for switch and other consoles as well. I would recommend this to a friend. I also like the color and style.

> 3 dayThis controller feels and plays great especially for 2d platforming and modern 3D games! I love the interface of the software to customize the sensitivity and buttons of the controller. My only minor complaint is that I have had issues automatically turning on the switch when turning on the controller line the joycons. Not a deal breaker but a minor inconvenience.

> 3 dayThis is my second pro+, 3rd 8bitdo controller, first controller was the SN30 Pro, but the buttons stuck after a few weeks. I did hear its the same components in the pro + (rubber pad underneath buttons) that tends to wear out fast. Then I decided to get the pro+ after I returned the pro model. The first one I got always had slight drift, just enough to make it annoying, then the buttons started to stick, returned it. Went with the official pro switch controller, both went bad fast (thats for a different review) decided to give 8bitdo one more chance, because all you hear is good things! Ordered this one, didnt get the bag though. Just didnt come with it. No way to request it without starting a whole return. Thats dumb. But it works still after 26 days! Hope it lasts longer because its almost past the return window now. Comfort is incredible, even if youre not a big D Pad lover (the d pad is amazing in this controller, best out of every switch controller Ive tried) the joysticks are easily reachable and comfortable. I personally havent had problems when two controllers are connected to the switch. The ultimate software is bad ass except YOU CANT ADJUST SENSITIVITY ON R & L TRIGGERS FOR THE SWITCH. Hopefully this gets fixed in an update. They are super sensitive and annoying all the time. Overall, best third party controller Ive tried for the switch, especially if it lasts. . . and Ive tried a lot. I will update my review if it messes up in anyway and let yall know how repairing it myself goes. And still bummed I didnt get the bag with it, but the keychain is dope!

> 3 dayOne of the best controllers Ive ever used third party or first party does not matter very comfortable great response time!!! I use it with magic-s adapter on my ps4 / ps3 / switch / ps classic and on my ps2 with brook ps4 to ps2 adapter and excellent battery life I have not charged it once since first full charge!!! Far superior battery life than ps4 official controller!!! Get a magic-s universal adapter as well to use on any system!!!
