I saw a less expensive garden knife, but the blade was not as sturdy as Leonard knife. Definitely a quality product.

I broke my Fiskars model from that large box store with the word home in it, and decided to try this as a replacement. Its fantastic! Equal to the one I had, sharp sturdy and convenient. A sheath would be nice, but I use the old one from fiskars. Then I found out my old one had a lifetime warranty. Sent them a picture and they replaced it free! Nice, who does THAT anymore?!? So now I have 2, and I must admit, the only drawback to this tool that makes it my second choice is the handle. While the nice bright color makes it easy to find when you stick it in the ground and forget where, the other model has a wooden handle which I find more comfortable. I guess if you wear gloves you wouldnt even notice, but I often work with out them, and in that case, this model is my second choice. Overall, consider the lifetime warrantee of the fiskars, and level of comfort you want from the handle, but no complaints with this one. Its an an awesome tool!

Perfect for transplanting, slicing open bags of potting soil, cuts through minor tree roots easily, measurements on blade helpful for planting depth, easy to clean, comfortable grip, sturdy, would buy again.

Nice tool but I thought it was made in the USA. Turns out it’s made in Italy. But it’s surprisingly very sturdy. When I first reviewed it I only gave it 4 stars because I didn’t think the blade went all the way into the handle. But after using it I found it to be very sturdy and I used it to pull out big rocks from the ground and it worked great. This is extremely sturdy. They give you a lifetime warranty. I don’t think you will ever have to use it. Definitely one of the best Hori Horis out there.

Superior product. Blade great at digging and serated edge great at cutting even the toughest of root balls.

I love this knife. It was recommended to me by my neighbor who sees me in the garden all the time. Its very sturdy. It cuts for edging and is great at pulling up dandelions! I love the orange handle so I can see it easily if Ive set it down. A must for gardening. Make sure you buy the deluxe soil knife. The regular one isnt as sharp!
