I happened to get to use the the Japanese version of this knife and while it didnt break, it felt like if I really tested it, it might. With this knife (so far), I think I would break my wrist before break this knife. I had a cheaper version of this and I broke it after one day of use.

Works well for my wife....smaller hands. Handle is too short for me to use comfortably.

Great garden knife; best Ive ever used. Incredibly tough, good handle grip, sharp, holds an edge, and does all the jobs needed. Ive divided tough rhizome plants, cut out invasive tree roots, and many more tasks. Cleans up with a spray of water and resists rust. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommend!

This soil knife is a wonderful tool. I use it for all weeding purposes and also use it to prepare single row seed beds and to plant small seedlings. Its sharp cutting edge is effective in cutting the roots of large recalcitrant weeds.
