Great tool for digging and planting perennial beds.

The handle is comfortable and the tool itself is useful for digging up weeds, digging places to put plants, etc. The serrated edge is handy for cutting things like vines, and there’s a cutting place on the blade near the handle used for cutting string, etc. This, and my pruning shears are what I use 90% of the time. And I’m in my garden a lot!

If you only had one tool for your garden, this is the one to have. I have had other Hori Hori knives in the past. This is my favorite so far. It is a good weight, comfortable to grip and feels very solid. The shaft of the blade goes all the way up the handle, so it wont break like some of the others I have had. I am a happy gardener.

An owner of a landscaping company said she had test many soil knives and this is the only model she will purchase for her company. I used it an employee (~2012) and the knife was at least 5 years old with a lot of hours on it. The teeth had dulled a little bit but were still great and the quality of the knife was great and sturdy. No longer an employee, I bought my own in 2020 and wowee, the teeth are even more fantastic and family members that use it rave about the quality as well.

I love this knife. It was recommended to me by my neighbor who sees me in the garden all the time. Its very sturdy. It cuts for edging and is great at pulling up dandelions! I love the orange handle so I can see it easily if Ive set it down. A must for gardening. Make sure you buy the deluxe soil knife. The regular one isnt as sharp!

Strong and sharp..

I’ve used one of these garden knives for years. It is the best tool! Very sturdy and well made. The serrated edge is great to cut roots. I’ve given several away as gifts and everyone loves it.

I was given one of these as a gift and ended up buying one for someone else. Incredibly useful. The sharp serrated side cuts down even bamboo shoots. You can dig holes or plantings, weed tight spaces. Incredible useful.

This soil knife is one of those tools that meet and exceed expectations. I find it to be an indispensable tool in doing gardening and landscaping maintenance. The serrated blade makes short work of soil bag access, as well as roots of all types. It is amazing at the size of stones that it is able to dislodge. The bright colored handle also makes it easy to spot. This is my third purchase of this item two of which I have given away as gifts.
