Works perfect and nice and quiet, pushes a lot of air and the remote works perfectly, buying a second unit.

I love this fan! It has a beautiful modern design, easy to assemble and it’s the quietest fan I’ve ever owned. It has multiple features and the remote control is wonderful. This is definitely a great buy!

Great fan! Has 12 levels and pretty powerful. Love the fact that the light turns off after a few seconds so it’s great to sleep. I ordered 2 more for family:)

I needed a quiet fan to move air around the bedroom while sleeping. When I read that the motor was DC, that did it. I know, that with DC power, there should be little, to no hum from motor. That panned out to be true. Only hear the typical rush of air and no other noises. Now, the only gripe is the speed settings. Goes from 1 to 12 and can be stepped w/remote or knob on support post. The problem is there is a huge jump in speed from 4 to 5, but only gentle changes with other settings. With 4, it is just a light whisper. Move to 5 and it revs up to good blow! I wish the speed controller was a linear gradual change, like the volume control on a old radio. Too bad, since I want a speed that is between 4 and 5! Oh, I think the oscillator (the moving back and forth), is controlled by its own motor, as the turning speed doesnt change no matter what speed its on! Other than that huge jump in speed, I am happy with it...so far.

I was looking for a super quiet fan and searched product reviews and brands and decided to give the Amazon Basics pedestal fan a try, after liking the first one I ordered another. I am very happy with both the AZ Basics fans I purchased. The fans need to be assembled, instructions are included, and assembly is straightforward, the parts go together easily and its pretty intuitive. Snapping the front fan cage on was a bit harder than other steps. All components can be tightened firmly without stripping or cracking. It has a weighted base to keep it upright. Seems stable enough even on carpet. The fan can be controlled by buttons on the column or with the remote. My fan has 12 speeds (there seemed to be some confusion on this in the reviews) the 1-4 are super quiet, 4 is my sweet spot, at about 6-8 feet it throws a light breeze with almost no sound. 5 kicks air speed and noise up a notch, but still not to bad. Speeds continue to increase in pretty even steps up to 12. Top speed is moving alot of air and there is a noticeable sound, but not the turbine sound some people mentioned. There are oscillation, timer and variable speed functions, all can be controlled by the remote or on the column. I havent used any of these much, but oscillation and the timer could be useful at some point.

20min easy assembly- instructions provide but ( if your like me- don’t care to read instructions) not really needed. Packing was very neat and organized which , to me, shows manufacturing quality which is carried to the actual product. Fan is quiet, operation options cover all needs for a fan and are as described. Remote is IR so direct view of fan receiver is needed. Two AAA batteries are needed. If I needed two fans, I’d buy another. The ONLY issue I could have is that I’d like to have a place on the fan to put the remote . A simple easy add on.

Easy assembly. Very quiet. Great price comparatively speaking. The four rating is for three reasons. The difference between speed level four and five is incredible. Four is whisper quiet while five is like an average box fan on low. Ironically I sleep with it on the five. Next there was a slight vibration in the two main assembly parts where they come together. I pretty much took care of that with a clamp. Lastly is the beep the fan will make when you change speeds or turn it off/on. During the night we lost power three times which meant that annoying loud beep came on three times. Overall--buy this fan. You will be happy and so am I.

I have purchased Vornado, Dyson, BH&G and even Home Basic brands and none of them have moved the air as effectively as this one! Its more than worth the cost and I have plans to purchase another! A+++

Finally found a great fan! It looks great. Classy looking. I got the white one. Dual blade. Put together easily. Great features, but most importantly IT BLOWS SOME GOOD AIR! Its very sturdy. So happy with this purchase. Totally worth the money!
