Amazon Basics Smart Plug Power Strip, Surge Protector with 3 Individually Controlled Outlets and 2 USB Ports, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Works with Alexa

I have a number of Amazon smart plugs and they all work really well with Alexa. I wanted to put smart plugs on two lamps and a dehumidifier. I wanted to be able, in particular, to control the dehumidifier when away from home. I did not have enough outlets in that location. So this worked great - each plug functions independently of the others, but as they are in the power strip I did not have to struggle with not enough outlets.

The smart plug integrated with Alexa perfectly. She works by a numbering system. Plug 1-3. We decided to plug in the LED lights and tv. Both have remotes but in the event someone falls asleep or can’t find the remote, we can easily cut off the device.

This makes turning thing on/off easier when paired with an Alexa device.

I like it when consumer tech crap like this just works. The best part is no promotional hype telling me how my life and marriage will get better with a smart outlet.

I purchased this unshare of how a large plug would work with Alexa. To my surprise it is perfect. Each plug works with Alexa so I can easily plug in more than one thing and it works. I use my app to adjust times. Its perfect and Id recommend buying if you need a lot of plugs in one place.

I really enjoy this smart power plug. It was very easy to set up and connect to the Alexa app and it was quite easy to rename each individual plug to the item it is connected to within the app. Obviously, since both Alexa and the Smart plug are owned by Amazon, the connection is seamless. The plug feels very sturdy and it looks like it is meant to last a while. The only issue, which does not apply to me since it is long enough for me, I can see customers having is that its not the longest power strip. So if you are hoping for the strip to span quite a distance, you will run into some issues. Otherwise, the strip is perfect in every other way.

Plug it in, and Alexa will find it. Nothing more to it. Power for each individual can be controlled by Alexa, either with the app or via voice. I use mine for my fish tank so I can turn on/off the filters and air pumps when I need to. Can also be used to schedule on/off times, so if you need lights (or anything else) to come on/off at specific times, that could easily be done too.

They could have made it a LITTLE longer to make room for another plug. But, then theyd make a LITTLE less profit. And WE CANT HAVE THAT! (Oh, and forget about making a 2-pack to bring the price down...even a little! CORPORATE GREED at its finest!) Sooo, a bit pricey for what youre getting.
