If there is a corner in your house that needs multiple outlets and you want to control the appliances separately, this is the perfect solution. I can’t go back to the days without it. Only concern is I can’t use Alexa when internet is down.

While I couldn’t get the QR code on the user’s guide for this Amazon Basics Power Strip to work, this still took only a couple of minutes to set up. The QR code on the power strip did work, which made setting this up from within the Alexa app very easy. This is really handy for a room that I have with minimal outlets. I can now run extra lights and actually see what I’m doing in there. Even nicer, I can turn them on and off with a simple spoken command. Very pleased with the design, function, and flexibility of this Amazon Basics power strip. As the parent of kiddos with autism, there are causes near and dear to my heart. Just plug it in and go. Alexa found it instantly and it works well with her.

This Alexa power strip is amazing. It was so easy to set up, worked just like my stand alone plugs and saved space in a cramped area. If the cord was another 12 longer would be even better. I use it to control items in one room and can control them as a group or individual outlets. The USB ports are nice, would like to see USB-C ports on the next one (which I will then purchase).

I was going to buy a wifi extender since my new cable router is a smart cable router that my old smart home plug wouldn’t work. I wanted to connect my new lamps to Alexa. With this extension cord which made things more convenient not only was I able to comfortable set up my lamps, the connection to Alexa was seamless. Thanks, Amazon!

The product works well once you get it setup. Instructions could be more detailed however eventually linked with Alexa and has been very helpful for seniors in the home.

Super cool. Easy to setup on Alexa and create custom names. Alexa - turn on/off patio lights, fence lights, Christmas tree, Santas Sleigh. You can also setup timers but havent done that yet. Yard lights usually only for party which can be early night or early morning.

Who would have imagined that Id be writing a review about a power strip but my experience with this new strip from Amazon Basics has me all excited. First and foremost, it simply does exactly what you would hope it would: provide control over three independent sockets remotely using Alexa. I plugged it in, skipped reading the instructions, and it showed up immediately on my Alexa app, as three separate plugs. I did the standard Alexa app configuration for smart home devices (really simple, really fast, basically just giving them names and assigning them to a room). Setup took less than five minutes and was simple and intuitive. The strip also includes two USB sockets which is also super-convenient. For example, a wireless charging pad can plug into one and a direct USB-Lightning connector in the other. The Amazon product team deserves a big pat on the back for creating a product that does exactly what you would want it to, and fast and easy. And the price is great, only slightly more than the single plug option. I highly recommend this product. It is exceptionally well designed.

I was not sure if was a single controller and so was pleasantly surprised that it has 3 distinct controller. Plugged it in, Alexa recognized all three and except that I had to crawl under the desk to figure out which circuit was which, a breeze to set up.
