AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

I love this CPU. It has reached as high as 4.95 Ghz on the factor Overclock settings. I use it with a be quiet Dark Rock Pro 4. I dont do intensive gaming, but I do a lot of virtualization. I have put it under a large load and have never breached 70 degrees.

Purposely built from the ground up to dominate PC gaming. What more can you ask for. I have never had a Ryzen CPU give me any trouble and this guy was no exception. I remember when Intel dominated the market. My first chip was a 486 DX2 and there was no competition in sight. Intel is an example of a behemoth that got so big it couldnt function anymore.

Good upgrade over anything prior including the more recent 3900x. Seems a bit jumpy compared with the 3900x. Lets just say it seems to have a much faster throttle response than the 3900x, but with that you want to have a top cooler - I prefer liquid based to have more clearance around the CPU, but use whatever makes sense for you. Im using a Corsair (110i) 280 AIO push/pull thats a few years old but more than adequate.

I saved for 6 months to buy this , I was so excited as the performance of this chip is incredible. Im using a 360mm aio cooler and precision boost overdrive enabled with a negative curve offset of 25 and it boosts to 4950mhz quite happily at 60celcius . Dont get me wrong Im sure there are people who can get more out of these or have there own way of doing things but that was quick enough for me . Even with am5 out now I wont be upgrading from this for along time . I would definitely recommend this cpu to anyone who does multi content as well as gaming. If all you are doing is gaming a 7800 x3d is a better option .

Upgraded a 5600X and the difference is obvious. Probably silicon lottery difference plays a part, but I had the most difficult time running smart memory access function and had intermittent freezes and hang ups while gaming. This upgrade has completely eliminated all of this and SMA has been running flawlessly since the install. Highly recommend the best possible CPU for any system even if it doesnt necessarily show up in higher FPS for games. There is so much more to the PC experience than just a number of frames/sec in a game.

Good for gaming and very fast for content corration

Legends foretold of a CPU that could actually run Unreal Engine... None lived to tell the tale, until one day... Boom! It happened! I honestly have to say. This CPU makes my old one look like a Celeron. I was using the AMD FX 6300 overclocked to 4.0GHzbefore this. It would count down shaders ten at a time very slowly and max out the CPU usage to 100% from the littlest thing. With this CPU, 64gb of RAM and the same graphics card (MSI GTX 970) it handles Unreal like a pro. I do still wish theyd optimize their engine though. Theres no reason to compile 1000 shaders for simple materials. And the interface could be cleaner, but this is a CPU review, not Unreal Engine review!
