AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

upgraded to this from a 5600x and I notice significant improvements in gaming (FPS gaming).

Just my luck that the pristine looking 5900X arrives DOA. Tried everything, and made sure my bios was updated. Very painstaking to figure out what the issue was - just a bad chip. Sending it back immediately.

This CPU has been the fix to all my problems. More cores more “bleep” if you know what I mean ;) but anyways. This has the perfect temps for a 240mm AIO and perfect temps for PBO as well couldnt ask for a better suite CPU going from a 4 core intel i5 u7600k to a R9 like holy cow! Hoping to collab with AMD someday still going to reach out and see what I get. I’m trying to make my self a Home media Server with AMD and ASUS products make the best NAS I can make with a limited budget!! Thank you hope to hear from you AMD

I got one at a Killer price as a 3900xt upgrade. The xt was not a real silicon lottery winner, yet still, by its xt build standard managed to outdo its published numbers. The 5900x series have the same chiplet group bin guarantee that set the 39xx xt series apart. And with a bit of a winning bin in it the numbers in comparison are most impressive.

Happy with the CPU, only buy at MSRP, waited almost a year to get it, but everyone gets screwed when you support scalpers. Only buy at MSRP.

I use this cpu for image processing and gaming. Works great with my 3080ti. I think this CPU is an overkill for most games. I was able to get full potential with my 3080ti while the cpu is usually around 20%.

Bought mine used from Amazon warehouse. Came with bent pins. I had to line them back up with a knife. Then I used a mechanical pencil to bend more stubborn individual pins into place. Took a hour and a lot of patience but works fine so far.

Beast of a CPU and very worth if you can catch this cpu at MSRP. Amazing single and multi core performance. While Amazon availability has been horrible you can find these at Microcenter fairly frequently. My complaint to Amazon is the handling was very horrible. Retail box was damaged but chip was luckily safe. Complained to customer service and was given a partial refund which was nice of them. Do not buy these scalped as they are becoming more readily available.
