> 3 dayUpgraded a 5600X and the difference is obvious. Probably silicon lottery difference plays a part, but I had the most difficult time running smart memory access function and had intermittent freezes and hang ups while gaming. This upgrade has completely eliminated all of this and SMA has been running flawlessly since the install. Highly recommend the best possible CPU for any system even if it doesnt necessarily show up in higher FPS for games. There is so much more to the PC experience than just a number of frames/sec in a game.

> 3 dayThe chip threw an error on my x570 Godlike. The 3rd party seller refunded after a bit of effort. I was worried they would not refund but it went smoothly.

> 3 dayMy first unit showed up and was defective, never even booted up. Amazon was great to handle the return and exchange for a replacement part which was excellent. Major upgrade to my rig!

> 3 dayThe 5900x is an absolute beast the only complaint is the temperatures, it runs hot. If your going to buy 1 invest in a good cooler

> 3 dayUpgraded from a Ryzen 7 3700x, and gotta say I see a huge difference in performance when gaming. The Ryzen 7 3700x had slight issues keeping up with gaming, and streaming.

> 3 dayInitially, I didnt want to buy the 5900X as the 5800X served me well enough, though the extra cores would have been a little useful. However, when the sale came, it was better than even when I got my 5800X and that wasnt my real motivator for grabbing this. The real point was that I needed a 3000 series to upgrade someone that I was paying them back for assisting me with something. I initially was checking for a decent 5000 series to upgrade them from, but I was concerned that the system may not handle well and while they didnt need anything gaming oriented, I still wanted to give some teeth where it needed while using a B350 board. So I settled with buying the 5900X to give the 5800X to my father in exchange for the 3600X that he had which was mine originally. Hence the minor step up.

09-06-2025So I snagged this on a whim for the lightning deal of only $335 and wanted to tune it in for undervolting with ClockTuner 2.1 (CTR 2.1 RC 5, specifically).
