Im going to be honest, I was not expecting huge gains coming from a Ryzen 5600x. And you are probably wondering, why would you upgrade twice in a single product cycle? Well the short answer is that the availability of the 5900x when it first came out was... lacking to say the least so I had to make due with the 5600x. At the time, the six-core processor was more than capable to fit my needs. However over the past year, my work habits have changed and thus I demanded more from my workstation. Adding a second monitor was a great addition to help increase my multi-tasking capabilities. However this made me aware of the limitations of having fewer cores in my system.

I came from an I seven 9700 K unlocked and this absolutely blows it away and everything. Yes it cost almost twice the money but it’s future proof and very very powerful. I haven’t had an AMD system in years but I’m super glad I switched. If you’re looking to go AMD this is the processor to get definitely. The thread for prayers are nice but their way over priced and they’re not much more and performance anyway

Great value for Great AMD product

Its an excellent CPU. However, it sold out limited stock within less than 1 second of going live. Not joking here. This is just exactly like the new video card fiasco nvidia went through. Bots, youtube reviewers, and a few lucky folks got these. You will likely not see these in retail (aside from pre-builds) until 2nd quarter 2021. Good luck!

Comming from a 3800X this is quite the upgrade. Speeds in my programs and software is almost doubled. Keep in mind this thing can run hot so make sure to get a sufficient cooling unit. Beyond easy to overlook while maintaining low temps and high frequencies. An absolute must for work stations!!!! Goodbye Intel.

I dont know if I had bad luck with ordering all my parts through Amazon, but the first core stopped working after a day. I got the other one in and its working amazing.

I got this for my Grandson who is 14 and he is building his own gaming desktop. He loves it!
