18-11-2024Mixed 50/50 with boiling hot water, this product dissolves to make a clear, odorless liquid often called magnesium oil. When cooled, I put it in a spray bottle and keep it available for after-workout muscle or joint soreness or for muscle cramps. It has helped friends who had knee or hip replacements and ligament pain during rehab. Just spray it on directly the sore muscles, rub it in and it gives relief within minutes. It works directly though your skin and doesnt have to go through your digestion system and liver first.

Greater than one weekIve used magnesium chloride flakes for a long time. Started about eight years ago when I made natural hair products for my curly hair. For some reason, sodium chloride is drying, but magnesium chloride not as much. (People with curly hair use salts to get more curl or that day at the beach look.) Started doing Pilates about eighteen months ago. Had issues with the ball of my left foot cramping. Did some research and found out that most of us are deficient in magnesium. While I take some orally in my vitamin supplements, I found out that dermal absorption is a better way to go with magnesium. The magnesium of choice is magnesium chloride. A few months later, I got into aromatherapy. Actually took a Butters & Balms course from a reputable aromatherapy school. Since some people have issues with itching from straight magnesium oil (magnesium chloride flakes with water) sprayed on skin, I started making a magnesium body butter that I found online. Have a lot of people in the studio using magnesium oil at this point. Since we dont have a bath tub anymore, when I need to up my dose of magnesium, I do foot soaks--half magnesium chloride flakes/half Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate.) Usually add some essential oils (with a little carrier oil) to help with skin issues. When purchasing the magnesium chloride flakes, you need to be careful to buy the cosmetic grade. I noticed that some magnesium chloride flakes were being sold as snow melt. This was a personal purchase, I paid full price.

> 3 dayThis stays with me longer than the stuff you get in a store. The relaxing and pain relief is very noticeable. I live with fibromyalgia and taking a bath every night has stopped the extreme stiffness from waking me up every 2 hours to change positions. You dont have to put as much as they have on the label. Put what you feel is needed. Remember, it will make you itch a little, but wont last long, so dont worry. magnesium tends to make you itch and if you do it put lotion on you’ll be fine ,but I don’t think you’ll need the lotion. Lotion comes in handy with their oil.
