> 3 dayIf you purchase this resin, make sure you have a very good ventilation system in place or lots of windows you can open. My Mono X and Mono SE are in a self-contained heated compartment complete with ventilation and dedicated air purifying system. And yet the smell permeated the house and made further printing impossible. It also brought on an amazing headache that went away once the vat was emptied, cleaned up and the used resin poured into a sealed container. Though the print quality is very good, I will not be using it anymore.

> 3 dayI was about to get kicked out of the house due to the smell of typical 3D printing resin. This one is not odorless, but the smell is only a small fraction of the other resins. It also isnt quite so sticky when you get some on a tool handle or your hands (yes, I wear gloves, but Im not perfect). For the Mars 2 Pro printer I did some tests and found that 3.5 second exposures (45 seconds for the first layers) worked well. Your preferences may vary depending on what you make, but that would be a good starting point. For other printers the numbers could be very different, because each has different UV intensity. I have been printing airfoil cross sections, 113 mm chord by 145 mm wide. The pieces are hollow, with a wall thin enough that it flexes in your fingers. You can seem some flaws in the photo, but most or all are because the FEP film in the machine has damage from previous projects. Once I replace that, results should be excellent. I had a 500 g bottle, and just ordered another 1 kg.

> 3 dayThis is my 4th or 5th bottle. Makes great prints with fine detail, or at high speed (0.1mm layer height, 2s exposure time)

> 3 dayHaving no printed with both of the Eco resin, and the standard resin, I can confidently say that the Eco resin is better for one reason, which is that it doesnt cure to the fep. The closest thing that I have experienced to this with the Eco resin is that on the areas where a part was printing out of, there will be a sort of area of resin that sticks to the fep that is thicker than the rest of the resin, but still definitely a liquid. With the standard resin though, I have had two separate prints now where the part printed normally, but while Im cleaning out the fep, I see that there are areas of hardened resin that are stuck to the fep that I have to remove with the plastic scraper that came with my printer. As Im sure anyone whos done 3D printing is aware, every time that you have to scrape something off of the fep, there is a risk that you are going to damage it and create an indentation which can affect print quality. This has happened to me. While using the Eco resin, I have never had to use the scraper, to remove the thick resin stuck to it, all I have to do is put some IPA in it, let it sit for a minute, and then soak it up with a paper towel and then wipe it clean with a clean room cloth. They both produce pretty much identical print results, and the Eco resin does have less of an odor. Ive also noticed that it cleans off a little bit easier with ipa, the regular resin gets kind of grainy and sticks to stuff in patches, whereas the Eco resin dissolves consistently and completely into it.

Subtle Tales
Greater than one weekPaid for a full 500g of resin, received maybe half that. Ordered a bottle of transparent resin. Received it the other day, tried to use it today. Went to pour the resin into the vat, (carefully as always) had to tip farther than usual, thought maybe it was thicker than other resins. Nope, the bottle started to pour just fine and when the bottle was empty the vat wasnt at the max fill line. I have a small machine with a max capacity of 260ml, meaning there was less than 260ml of resin in the bottle. I understand that weight and volume are not the same measurement. I poured the resin back into the bottle and weighed them. The bottle AND resin combined only weighed 328g. I dont know what an empty bottle weighs, but it isnt zero, and there certainly wasnt more than a few grams of resin loss from pouring it into the vat (100% will of course never pour back out as it clings to surfaces), but even if there was 10% loss, the bottle and resin combined should have weighed at least 500g. 500 and 328 are quite a bit different. I would be wary of which seller you purchase from, or purchase from Anycubics website directly, or risk getting screwed.

> 3 dayThis resin will give you great detail with reduced odor (it still smells pretty bad) the biggest problem is how brittle it is. If you’re looking for resin that can withstand normal wear and tear, drilling or even an accidental drop to the floor I’d look elsewhere.

> 3 dayIve purchased a few bottles of this resin in various colors and have been quite satisfied. The most recent bottle of Black that I got is super translucent. Not a deal breaker, but a minor annoyance.

> 3 dayMy wife and I just got our 3D printer in October for making sewing jigs and gaming pieces. We deliberately bought a bottle of regular resin first, so that we would know the difference when we moved to low odor resin. We made that switch a couple weeks ago and...we cant tell the difference. Ive cleaned the vat, made sure there are no spills anywhere, there should be no source of the previous resin smell. But when I go into the room with the printer, it smells exactly the same as before. Its a thick, oily smell that coats the back of your throat and follows you out of the room. As for print quality, thats also the same as the regular resin. Details are crisp, lines are smooth. I did have a few problems early on, because I didnt adjust my settings to accommodate the new resin. This product says you dont need to, but dont be fooled, you have to adjust for ANY new bottle of resin, even if its the same stuff you were just using. Thats just a fact of printing, and I didnt knock any stars off for that, just for the lack of any benefit vs regular resin. If it had cost more, I wouldve taken another star away, but getting the same amount of smell for the same cost is still worth 4 stars.

> 3 dayThe smell is tolerable, which is fine. All of my recent prints have turned out great and Ive had no issues.
