> 24 hourGreat Filter!! So good in fact this is my second order. Is this order better than the first order? Absolutely not. Its identical to my first order, fast, nice packaging, and a great bargain. So if getting a great deal and a great product is your cup of tea, this is the sponge filter to buy.

> 24 hourDidnt realize how massive these sponge filters are. Definitely too big for my 5 & 10 gals, but works great in my 20 gal. I like the material of this too, more plasticy with bigger pores compared to some other sponge filters that are more foamy.

> 24 hourReal review from User These work great!! You just have to squeeze the air out of them like any other sponge filter!!

> 24 hourThese sponges never have anything on them that indicates that they have any sort of suction towards the middle. Seems like its just the airline bubbling, and that the sponge itself (which is giant) doesnt do much. For example, if a leaf comes off of one of my plants, it will float around and then get stuck to the intake sponge for my HOB filter. Not once have I ever seen a leaf or other debris stuck to the sides of these filters. My air pump is plenty strong enough to induce the suction. So, I think that the design of these, perhaps the thickness and density of the foam, makes it so that it doesnt actually create suction. Im going to rotate these out for another brand as soon as Im confident that my tank is stable enough in terms of its beneficial bacteria. Would not recommend. (Also many people have given it 5 stars with an airstone added - but in my book, something that needs modification in order to function cannot be worthy of 5 stars! The modification is not just adding an airstone, but involves cutting plastic off of the filter and then adding an airstone. No product that needs hacking is worth 5 stars.)

> 24 hourDoes the job. Good cost. Buy a hose and adapter so you can run all 3 at once

> 24 hourThese have been in my tank for several days now. Any debris that happens to go near them just floats on past. There is no draw to them. I have them each with their own air pump and still nothing.

> 24 hourUsing two of these as the primary filtration in a 75G lightly stocked mbuna tank. Im replacing 5 years old filters of the same style. They have been very effective at keeping my water clean and provide plenty of surface area for biological filter.

> 24 hourI think a course sponge would be better, perhaps a little bit more weight.
