> 3 dayI used this in my axolotl tank, and after about 12 hour using it, I already saw the water getting mercy. After about three days, I couldnt even see through the tank because the filter was now trapping and spitting out filth and leftover poop. Terrible product!

> 3 dayYou honestly can’t beat this purchase for the price! I have 2 of these in my 20 gallon long betta tank (not sure I really need 2 but with bettas you can’t have heavy flow, so just in case) and the water is so crystal clear! I did end up cutting the internal connector piece so I can fit an air stone in there (YouTube has how to videos). I also have one in my 36 gallon for extra filtration and I was so pleased, I ended up purchasing another pack for back up. Great product, thank you!

Greater than one weekThese sponges never have anything on them that indicates that they have any sort of suction towards the middle. Seems like its just the airline bubbling, and that the sponge itself (which is giant) doesnt do much. For example, if a leaf comes off of one of my plants, it will float around and then get stuck to the intake sponge for my HOB filter. Not once have I ever seen a leaf or other debris stuck to the sides of these filters. My air pump is plenty strong enough to induce the suction. So, I think that the design of these, perhaps the thickness and density of the foam, makes it so that it doesnt actually create suction. Im going to rotate these out for another brand as soon as Im confident that my tank is stable enough in terms of its beneficial bacteria. Would not recommend. (Also many people have given it 5 stars with an airstone added - but in my book, something that needs modification in order to function cannot be worthy of 5 stars! The modification is not just adding an airstone, but involves cutting plastic off of the filter and then adding an airstone. No product that needs hacking is worth 5 stars.)

> 3 dayHave had 6 of these running for some time now, and imo, they simply are not permeable enough to get sufficient water flow through them to sustain necessary bacteria. Others Ive had have worked much better and developed colonies of bacteria that help clean the water, and these just arent after many months.
