> 3 dayMy daughter was able to get this computer for her college classes with her financial aid. Very thin, light weight especially when a student is carrying lots of books, she is quite happy that she found it.

> 3 daySo it states it comes with 16gb ddr4 but its actually 12gb ddr3 ram and its not a 256gb ssd but a 238gb ssd. I wrote the sellers to ask why the mis information and will update as soon as I am responded to.

Greater than one weekDespite what the other guy said, my computer came in and the first thing I checked to see was if the specs matched. I ordered one with 16gbb of ram. I got one that has 20gbb of ram with 18 of it being usable. So this passed my expectations! For ssd, mine says 238 as well but you have to remember the computer itself needs to use some of that space for the operating system, and other preinstalled things. So although it says 256, only 238 is available to you to use. But for the price this is still really good!! Its fast, the screen is decent. The keyboard is spaced out nicely as well. The mouse pad is very responsive and doesnt feel flimsy. The overall build feels good. If I have any issues Ill update this

> 3 dayOut of the box starts right up and easy setup. Great value for the money. The screen display could be better quality. Good feel overall. Typical weight for a laptop. Does really good with a WiFi signal no signal drops yet. Battery life is about four hours. Nice amount of memory. Surfing the internet with it does a good job.

> 3 dayAfter only using this laptop for one week it suddenly stopped booting up past the welcome screen. I have used computers for many years and this was the first time I had encountered this. I have no idea why it did this but I did see where this could be a common issue with Asus.

08-06-2025UPDATE: if you want a laptop that dies after 2 years, this is fine. I expected 5 to 8 years, so I have downgraded ASUS from 5 stars to 2. Shortly after I got it the M fell off the keypad and keys cannot be replaced even after ordering new ones. A few months later, the 2 key fell off, but I did not complain b/c it otherwise seemed robust. Typing was only minimally hindered by having to hit the white key bases where M and 2 used to be. TODAY it is officially dead, or at least many keys are now completely unresponsive and I cannot even login. I do have an external keyboard attached now (b/c of an able assistant), but my expensive ASUS is now a defacto brick: carrying an external keyboard around is a totally-sux solution. I am not likely to ever buy another ASUS.

> 3 dayI have owned the computer for over a week, and I find sometimes it will just freeze up and I have to hold the power tab for nearly a minute before it responds and shuts down. I realize it was a returned unit that I purchased, but so far this is the only problem with the unit.

> 3 dayI have tried 2 other PC laptops with higher specs and found them lacking. This Asus is great. iTunes loads as fast as my iMac and no real lag as of yet.

> 3 dayIt feels and looks great for the prince big but... If you care at all about picture quality then this isnt for you. It has a TN display which mean terrible viewing angles and colors that look washed like looking at a screen made of parchment paper. If it only had a VA OR IPS so it resembled a phone screen it would be great, a lucky find.
