> 3 dayHeadphones good, case superfluous. These are not as great as the MDRs in terms of frequency response but detachable cables, comparable price, and not having to deal with the 6 ft. telephone coil of the Sonys is worth it to me.

Greater than one weekReplaced a set of Bose QC35ii headphones Used during live play of a Hammond B3 organ, connected to an Aviom personal monitor controller. Much better range and fidelity, especially in the higher frequencies.

> 3 dayI had the M40x before these, and I loved them. The day the ear cup snapped off was a tragic one. They lasted over a year of consistent daily use. They were great headphones that had an amazing sound quality for the price. These are similar in that regard. They are more expensive, but if you use headphones as much as I do, the extra cost is worth it. They are more comfortable than the m40x, and have better quality sound. I also like how they come with a short cable in the box, unlike the m40x. The sound quality is not that much better, but you can notice a difference. These headphones have better bass than the m40x. Instruments are a bit more defined and clear. These headphones can make your ears a little sweaty after a while, but that is to be expected from over ear headphones. If you don’t use headphones that much and the price increase is that big of a deal to you, the M40x is still a fantastic buy.

> 3 dayGreat headphone ever had. The mids are crisp and the bass is not over powering like beats. I like how they fold up, it makes them more easy to store. The material is solid, it doesnt feel cheap. They are comfortable to wear. The ear ups are great and they go over the ear. I heard sounds that I never heard with other headphones. I use them for studying, music, and movies. They do look a bit big, but I dont mind. I did some research before buying them. The reviews were right. This is the bang for your buck. These headphones have 10x superior sound than beats and much more cheaper.

> 3 dayThe only complaint I have is the leather/(pleather?) ear cuffs around the headphones after 3 years, started wearing off, leaving black leather/pleather on my skin around my ears. These are head and shoulders above my Sony headphones (50$) and arctis 3 (70$) that I have purchased, and are well worth the investment, but if youre reading this audio-technica, I love the quality of sound for stereo monitoring music production that I use them for, but please update the material of the earcuff.. 6 years in and it has been progressively wearing off more and more, i.e. Minimal; year 3, moderate wear off. year 4, serious wear off; year 5, lots of wear off; and now year 6 there are speckles of black pleather on my ears/head everytime i use them.
