> 3 dayI am not sure if I got a refurb. It was part of a daily deal and when I received them the box was not sealed (is that normal?), but the box and headphones looked pristine. The sound is really weird and unsatisfying. There is no soundstage and the sound is very boring and all over the place with weird separation. The worst part is the high end it actually irritates me to no end hear the modified high end on almost all recordings (especially distorted guitars and vocalist with gravely voices). I guess I will return and see if it is just the pair I have or if really an issue with these headphones. I am extremely disappointed as all the reviews seemed to be so positive. I really dont get it. I have much lower priced headphones that are much more enjoyable (e.g. JVC HA-RX700 $40). I also have more expensive headphones that are way better (Phillips Fidelio X1). I even tried with iPhone 6, 160G iPod, and with Fiio E11 amp and still terrible! Actually, I think everyone who thinks they love these headphones should try the Phillips Fidelio X1 or X2 and tell me if they dont see the difference in pure musical enjoyment for all genres and no amp required.

> 3 dayMy new favorite headphones. I was a vmoda headphone nut now I have found something just a little bit better and cost less. I prefer these over my Dre studios, V-MODA Crossfade LP, V-MODA Zn, V-MODA Crossfade Wireless and Power beats 3.

> 3 dayThis is my fist set of studio headphones and they are great! The sound is crisp and clear and makes it easy to work with when recording music. The hard-shell case serves its purpose so the headphones dont get damaged, and the different lengths and styles of cords is a nice asset to have when listening and playing with different instruments.

> 3 dayMy son did his research and found these to be the best quality for the money. His research was right. The sound quality is incredible. Well worth the money and a great gift.

16-11-2024I was really hot on getting these. They are great but I was hoping for a little more bass. I have a ton of vintage synths and use this to help do final mixes. Very comfortable and I will probably never use the case.

> 3 dayClarity, bass and build quality are over the top. For the price, expectations were low. In particular, I thought nothing could beat the sound created by titanium drivers until I heard the sound coming from these headphones. The proprietary drivers made with rare earth magnets make an enormous difference.

> 3 dayThere is no reason to write a book for a review. Point blank plain and simple its like this. I have a pair of Dre Beats as well and My opinion is the Technicas are far better then the Dre Beats headphones for a studio environment. The Technicas weigh much less than the Beats making them much more comfortable over a longer period of time. The Technicas are high quality plastic. The Dre Beats are mostly metal. Technicas have a much more level sound (flat sound from low frequency to high frequency) which means they have honest true sound. Beats have a lot more bass which can mud out some of the other frequencies. I must say having owned the the Beats and now the Technicas, that the Audio Technica ATH-M50xs sound the best and are surely built for a professional studio setting making them amazing. PS I have a little over ten years experience in sound obsession and 7 years studio engineering... I also own a pair of Sony MDR-7506 which are the worlds most popular headphone in many different settings. Dont buy Dre Beats buy Audio Techinica ATH-M50s and save money to buy better quality cables for your mic and studio monitors!!!

> 3 dayI absolutely love these headphones! Great bang for your buck! Comfort in ear cups is amazing and this bundle comes with a handy case too! if there was one complaint I have, in more punchy-type beats the headphones are a tad aggressive but besides that the sound quality is truly spectacular and I am extremely happy with my purchase of these.
