> 3 dayThese headphones have been worn for thousands of hours and my old pads were completely flaked off. New pads work great. Little stiff because their brand new but thatll be no problem in a week.

> 3 dayI tried Wicked Cushions (a third-party option first) and instantly returned them. Even though they were made of a quality material, they were too big and changed the sound completely for me. Theres too much separation between the driver and my ear with those. So I ordered the manufactures replacement for my ATH-m50Xs and am happy with them. Just like as if they were new out of the box and the sound is now exactly the same as it was. Even if I have to replace them again next year, going with these is best for me.

> 3 dayMy original M50x pads wore out quite some time ago. Last year, I purchased 3rd party replacements that are very comfortable and of high quality materials. However, those pads really did a number on the sound quality. The first reason is that those pads are much deeper which puts way more distance between your ear and the speaker. The other reason, I surmise, is that the material that sits across the speaker face is different. The end result was a severe loss in bass and an overall loss in clarity.

> 3 dayThese are fantastic! I got them “used” (meaning the packaging had been opened and damaged but the item itself was in perfect condition). They’re a struggle to put on but that comes with the territory. They fit snuggly like they should once installed, they feel exactly like the originals and the sound is amazing! Looks great too! Mine are ATH-M50X BL (blue and copper limited edition).

> 3 dayI bought the m50x from my buddy who has owned these for a very long time. The earpads that it came with were on the verge of non functional. Torn, battered, and very uncomfortable. So, I looked online and found these earpads from a company named Brainwavz. They were comfortable, sure, but not only did those earpads totally strip these amazing monitors from any bass, but they also made me look like a complete tool because the pads them selves were so huge. It looked like I was wearing a gaming headset.

> 3 dayThese are OEM pads that do not change the sound like many after market pads do. If you enjoyed the sound before than these are for you.
