Audio-Technica HP-EP Replacement Earpads for M-Series Headphones,Black

Been wearing them for a couple weeks now, and its great to have them feeling like new. Process to swap them out was relatively easy, but I was a bit nervous thinking Id damage the hardware. Turned out fine though.

So I decided to scrape the fake leather from the headband of my ATH-M50S, install a headband cover, and while at it, replace the ear covers even though they looked ok. Well, the ear covers looked ok from the outside, but attached is a picture of what they looked like on the inside. I had no idea that my originals were so shredded. Glad I was able to buy replacements. I wish I could Subscribe N Save these every 12 months. Amazon review approvers, if you are reading this, kick it up to your boss. These are consumables.

Replacement pads to replace the original pads which were starting to flake after about 4 years of use.

Received in OEM package. Tried a different popular replacement pad, changed sound signature significantly. These returned the sound back to how I remember.

I had to use a little extra force to stretch theses around the headphones but once I had it started they went on with no issues. Also the quality is amazing and I can enjoy my MX-50s again!

I purchased the Audio-ATH-M50x Studio Headphones in 2014 for $169.00. Im glad to see the price has come down to $149.00. I think $149 is more in line with the sound quality and over all experience you get with these headphones. They are definitely not high end quality headphones but for the price they get the job done for casual music & tv listening experience. If your intent is to analyze every high and low note, drum beat, and cymbal crash, I would recommend you search for a more professional type series of headphones$$$.
