> 24 hourI purchased this spool of thread just to find out what Aurifil was all about. Very nice, smooth, thin thread. When you quilt in the ditch it disappears nicely. I still think it is a little pricey!

> 24 hourI like this thread very much. I do a lot of sewing and have not had any problems with this.

> 24 hourThis thread is so thin it breaks when you try to use it with a machine and knots when you try to hand sew with it. It also does not feel or stretch like cotton.

> 24 hourI have tried Aurifil in several different Bernina machines for freehand machine quilting. Ive already had to throw out 2 nearly full spools because the thread breaks constantly, whether its used in the bobbin or on top. Many of my quilter friends love this thread, but its not for me. I have had nothing but trouble with it. Ive tried different needles, different tensions and nothing works. I consider myself an expert quilter so I dont think that its me doing something weird. Im going back to Mettler and Bottom Line for my machine quilting.

> 24 hourAurifil cotton thread is great for machine sewing. The thread is break- and tangle-resistant. And it doesnt clog your machine with fiber lint like cheaper threads do. (Translation: You dont have to clean your machine as often with Aurifil.) These bigger Aurifil spools will fill four or five bobbins plus have enough thread left to sew the top stitches for those bobbins.
