15-04-2025I already upgraded my Ender 3 with a bltouch a couple of months ago so i already knew how vital they are. Im using this kit on my ender 3 pro and its the first time iv used Capricorn. It makes SUCH a huge difference, not only in because I can now print more exotic filaments but also in how intrinsically slippy it is compared to normal bowden tubing. The upgraded springs in this bundle are also superior because they increase the tension and stability of the bed due to being much sturdier springs. The couplings included are also much better than the stock ones that came with both of my printers because they have metal teeth inside that grip the ptfe. I will definitely be buying off this company again. Why aren’t creality selling these parts stock with their printers??

> 3 dayIn the product pictures there is a diagram of how to get the ptfe tube connected to the aluminum piece but IT IS WRONG. There are no threads in the aluminum piece to use the connector, instead you have to use the small black plastic plug with 4 feet in the hole and use the blue retainer. Insert your ptfe tube in the plug and only then will it stay in place. Other than that everything is working great however that part had me confused because there are literally no instructions other than that.

> 3 dayAfter having been using these upgrades on my Ender 3-v2 for the last several months, I can happily say they are definitely worth the less than $20 price tag. Initially I only installed the Capricorn PTFE tube and new fittings as these are a major need for most printers. If I could take half a star off, I would, simply because this kit does not include a flush cut tool for the PTFE tube. Having as flat (flush) of a cut as you can get on your PTFE tube is absolutely necessary to prevent any filament leakage on the hot end. To get around this, you either have to order a tool and additional Capricorn tube, print a tube holder and hope you keep it from sliding when you cut the tube or come up with a different method. I tried a couple of the printed tools and my success was not that great. So I went the alternate method and loaded my Capricorn tube into one of the new fittings and used the metal edge of the fitting as a guide to cut the tube perfectly. I waited a couple of months before swapping out the bed springs. I wanted to make sure I had a great understanding of how the printer worked and why you benefited from changing springs. After having to relevel the bed with the factory springs a couple of times, I swapped in the orange stiffer springs and have only had to make minor tweaks based on filament changes. The last part I changed out was the metal extruder. I did wait until the factory plastic extruder broke. You know it happens because you get a continuous over or under extrusion issue. The installation of the new metal extruder was very straight forward and took me less than 10 minutes; your time may vary depending on how mechanically inclined you are. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT MIX UP THE TENSION SPRING FOR THE EXTRUDER WITH ANY OTHER SPRINGS YOU MAY HAVE. They look nearly identical to bed springs and bed springs are about 4mm too long for the extruder and force the toothed gear to chew up your filament and cause prints to fail. Overall, I give this upgrade kit a 4.5 rating and highly suggest it. Is it necessary to wait to install everything? Not really, but learning more about your printer in its absolute factory state will help with troubleshooting in the long run. @Creality, if you read these, please include a good flush cut tool for the Capricorn tubing!

> 3 dayThere is NO WAY to attach your bowden pneumatic fitting to this. I of course assumed something so basic would work and only found out at the end of the install that this product is fatally flawed. Worse yet, the seller KNOWS this but keeps selling it anyway. How this gets to be an Amazon Choice is beyond me. Stay away.

> 3 dayThis pack has what I consider to be the necessary upgrades for your printer. These machines are a great value but sadly some parts are made cheap to keep costs down. Fortunately they are all peripheral parts that are easily swapped with just a few screws. This pack has all of those parts for a GREAT price. The springs will help your bed stay level and make it easier to level. Your plastic extruder will eventually crack. The one in this kit will take care of that. The PTFE tube and fittings are leaps and bounds better than the stock one and allow you to work with higher temps for PETG, ABS, etc. In short, get this kit. Easy upgrades that make your economic printer waaaaaaay more sturdy and reliable. And this one is a great price!

> 3 dayTwo issues I faced right out of the blocks, the hole for the screw (on the extruder arm) was not threaded, that step was forgotten and not noticed by inspectors. Ill have to tap threads into it myself. I would have simply sent the kit back to Amazon, but I had already cut and used some of the Capricorn hose.

> 3 daySuper easy install. The parts are good quality. The instructions are just an exploded diagram so find a good YouTube video. It comes with some spare parts. Overall it is pretty great.

> 3 dayI got this little Gem and installed it on my CR-6 se after having the crack issue with stock. It is an easy swap out actually getting the old one off takes longer. Recalibrated and went back to printing and the one verbally quality increased over stock. Going to order a few more for my other printers.

Greater than one weekThe kit arrived and all appeared well. When I went to install the upgraded extruder I found that the main base piece that mounts on the motor had a major flaw. The point where the pneumatic fitting goes was not correct. Neither of the replacement pneumatic fittings included fit. One was too small and the other too large. I Then removed the original pneumatic fitting from the Ender printer, it had the same smaller diameter threads and was too small to fit. Upon closer examination, I discovered that the hole on the upgraded extruder part was not even threaded. I could not even start to replace the parts because of this flaw. I emailed the company directly explaining the problem and asking for a replacement part. After two days of not hearing back, I returned the kit to Amazon. I am surprised that a part like this was not discovered to be flawed. Also, the customer service after the fact was nonexistent. There are many metal upgrade kits for the Ender 3D printers. I will now be searching for another. There are many good reviews for this kit, but if their quality control allows even one defective part through its probably not worth your time. I am now delayed by a couple more weeks before Ill have my printer up and running.
