This is my first time using Capricorn and so far its brilliant. The metal extruder is also hands down better than the plastic one I had before and the couplings are solid. Due to the springs rigidness I have not had to re-level anywhere near as frequently as before. Printing time has been dramatically reduced and the quality of my prints are tenfold. I wish I had bought these upgrades earlier. I’ll be buying off these guys again.

This kit included everything I needed to upgrade the print repeatability for my printer. Simple to install, easy to follow instructions with superior parts to stock pieces (even that small details). One picture is a comparison of the Creality compression fitting included in the extruder upgrade vs the upgraded compression fittings. You can clearly see that the Creality ones dont include thread seal. Also the included retaining clips are thicker and held the compression fitting apart much better. Also the additional compression fittings are nice to have on hand in case I need to swap them in the future. The upgrade Capricorn tubing both withstands higher temps and also reduced other print issues, I have fewer blobs on the print and less stringing. When cutting the tubing I recommend small shallow cuts to make sure that you dont bend the tubing, cutting with a sharp razor blade in a sawing motion might also work well. Also the included tube was much longer than needed allowing me to replace it if needed later without having to hunt some down. The springs are FAR more rigid than the stock springs on the bed and maintain the tension MUCH better. I used to have to adjust my bed between almost every print ( this is not common) but now my bed leveling stays true much longer, I have done several multi hour prints since installing and while I have rechecked the level between each one, no adjustments were needed. The metal extruder upgrade has better grip of the filament providing more consistent flow, less blobs, and better flow at different temperatures. I am assuming because of the grip that the temperature can be a little higher or lower and the extruder can push the filament through, this also helps in faster prints and allows you to increase your print speeds. While any of these upgrades alone would help prints, the whole kit for this price was money well spent! Shipped and arrived as promised. I have already ordered a second kit for a non-creality printer!

I ordered this upgrade months ago in anticipation of my printer arrival which was delayed three months due to back order issues. Just tired to install and noticed the same as North Traveler did, that neither of the pneumatic fittings fit the assembly and that it was not even threaded. wow never buy from these guys again!

Two issues I faced right out of the blocks, the hole for the screw (on the extruder arm) was not threaded, that step was forgotten and not noticed by inspectors. Ill have to tap threads into it myself. I would have simply sent the kit back to Amazon, but I had already cut and used some of the Capricorn hose.

Great Product upgrade. Metal and fittings are tight and works great. Watch youtube to make sure all the changes were done correclty.. Wow.. SHould last a while..

Everything was good but the springs they are 4mm too long for ender3/pro springs

After multiple attempts at emailing and facebook messaging, Im finally ready to write this review. My aluminum extruder came with nothing to thread the bowden tube into. Contacted FirstLayer about it with no response whatsoever. If you get the chance order from someone who will answer questions without being hounded! Lowsy Support!!

The whole set is a waste of money and time! I installed it less than 2 months ago, first the bowden tube was uneven and clogged up the first day, the inside of the tube is not consistently sized and I ended up buying a few meters myself and replacing it. The springs helped for maybe a week then I had to adjust the level with each and every print as they weakened. Then the extruder itself is now useless, one of the gears stripped and literally fell off the extruder mid print! Seems to me that anything labeled Creality is just going to be junk from now on. I love my ender 5 plus, but Im pretty much having to replace everything constantly with other parts. If it wasnt for the print size Id get rid of the whole thing and get another printer.
