> 3 dayWorks well to block out sun and heat, but takes an annoying amount of strength to push the umbrella down the last half inch to close it (Im a very able-bodied young person). I have to use two hands and hold it just so to do it. And the parasol has to be fully closed before it can be reopened. It appears you cant open it manually because it doesnt lock in the open position when you push it up with your hands- you have to use the button. Pretty significant design flaw. Van Gogh design is unique and pretty though. Update: The vendor provided very good customer service after hearing about my disappointment with this product.

> 3 dayI love this umbrella. I am allergic to the sun and I use it when watering my flowerbeds. It is light weight, resists breezes and is cool.

> 3 dayThis umbrella is beautiful! It’s easy to open ( I love the automatic open and close feature), I also love using it to stay out of the sun. The UV protection keeps you cooler than using a regular umbrella.

Greater than one weekOverall, I think this is a good parasol. It has good sun protection, is pretty, and the popup mechanism is convenient and seems strong like it will last. It is compact when folded down and stows away easily, and lightweight. My only complaint is that the stem of the umbrella seems to wobble in the handle. Meaning, when I am holding the handle to the umbrella, I feel a constant wobbling of the umbrella while I walk. Its not super obvious, but enough to be annoying after a while.

> 3 dayThis is my second time purchasing this umbrella. I live in the cancer belt Texas. This umbrella had a reflective material on the inside and beautiful pattern on the outside. Ive used regular umbrellas before this for sun shade but I could feel the heat beat down on me while Im under it. To me, I feel less heat coming down to me with this umbrella. My last one has lasted all last year and should have lasted longer but my two toddlers got ahold of it. It snapped at the plastic area of one of the arms. My major complaint is that the string at the handle is too short to put around your wrist. Its short and seemingly made just for the purpose of hanging on a hook. No bueno when my hands are full with two toddlers. Edit: the new versions of these umbrellas now have a larger strap attached. I can thread my hand through. Its still not elastic though.

> 3 dayHavent had a chance to use this in the rain, but Im liking it for use to keep the sun off. Its pretty and I enjoy looking at it when I open it up. the opening and closing mechanism is easy to use and the umbrella seems very well made. Its great sun protection that covers far more than a hat and doesnt mess up my hair.

Greater than one weekThe handle is just too short. Also, there was no UV info that came with the product, which was the reason I purchased it in the first place. I need UV protection for medical reasons, and the lack of information wasnt reassuring.
