Greater than one weekI love Van Gogh! His use of blues is one of my favorite things about his work. Anyway, I opened and shut the umbrella several times and the mechanism is working properly. Inside it has a silver ling, what I assume to be the sunscreen portion of the umbrella, which I have yet to practice and is the reason I bought the umbrella. When on-ground school starts, every teacher has to take a recess/pickup/drop-off duty, so we are awaiting the Governors decisions. In the past, I used my regular umbrella, and it wasnt effective. Was going to buy a cloth parasol, but couldnt be assured of the SPF. After I use it on the playground a couple of times, Ill let you know!

> 3 dayOverall, I think this is a good parasol. It has good sun protection, is pretty, and the popup mechanism is convenient and seems strong like it will last. It is compact when folded down and stows away easily, and lightweight. My only complaint is that the stem of the umbrella seems to wobble in the handle. Meaning, when I am holding the handle to the umbrella, I feel a constant wobbling of the umbrella while I walk. Its not super obvious, but enough to be annoying after a while.

> 3 dayIm very pleased with my new umbrella! I bought this to use for shade when Im standing in the afternoon sun. I work at a school and I have car rider duty every afternoon and the Georgia sun gets very hot. Since I burn easily, this umbrella was the perfect solution for protection from the sun. Thanks for a great product!

> 3 dayThis umbrella is well made and really beautiful. I just keep it in my purse for rainy/sunny days. Its easier to close if you pull down the piece that extends the umbrella and press the top of the umbrella towards a hard surface until you hear it click.

> 3 dayIts nice and sturdy, and as someone warned in the reviews beforehand, it does have the tendency to POP open very abruptly that it can startle you. I have yet to use it under the sun, but I can tell its good material and thicker than a normal umbrella.

Greater than one weekIt was a pretty umbrella. I wanted it for the Van Gogh print, so I would look cool rather than frumpy. However it stopped working after a days use. It wouldnt close by itself then not at all. If I had chosen a replacement I might have happier. As well, there wasnt verification of actual SPF protection.I actually need something with legitimate SPF 40+ protection. If you dont care about SPF and just want shade and compactness, you might want the umbrella (if it worked) if it works. it seems nice for shade protection. It is also compact for travel and a manageable size for someone small like myself.

Greater than one weekI love this parasol. I use it when we walk to lunch (20 minutes each way in midday sun) and it is wonderful. It stands up to a 15-20 MPH (24-32 KPH) wind if you tip it into the wind; youll feel it but the parasol wont turn inside out on you.

Greater than one weekWas diagnosed with malignant Melanoma, so Im planning on using this parasol for added protection against further problems. Have only used it 2 times, so thats why I couldnt give it 5 stars yet, but it seems to be holding up okay so far! Love, love the impressionistic flower design! Does feel a little cooler underneath too.
