> 3 dayWith every spec I was looking for a relatively good price, and mostly excellent reviews on Amazon, I had high hopes for this display. However, lousy viewing angles brought me down to earth quickly. Advertised as 178 degree viewing angle, I was surprised to find a gleaming glow washed out blacks when not viewed straight-on. The 3000:1 contrast promised exceptional black levels, but unfortunately it sure didn’t look that way from my eyes. With such a big screen. The sides of the display are at a significant angle from my eyes looking straight on from normal desk viewing distance. Furthermore, if I got up from my chair the screen looked blown out from a slight vertical angle. Basically the whole image looked gleamy and weird, blacks looking silvery at modest angles, and the whites tending to look blown out. Playing full screen video looked pretty good, as did playing a game on PS4. But for my primary purpose, using it as a monitor for my Mac mini, the interface - windows and menus, looked bad to me. The dark mode windows suffered from the gleamy VA angles. Being spoiled by a lot of pristine images from an iMac at work, or iPad, where images look nearly printed on the glass, the BenQ just looked wrong, lacking a solid looking image. After much adjusting and getting used to the angles, it looked decent, but not satisfying, certainly not breathtaking. I saw a sale price on an LG 32MU99 ips panel, which had everything I was looking for, but lacking true 10 bit color and a lower 1200:1 contrast ratio, and $150 higher price. I got it, and the moment I switched I was exhilarated by the improvement. My Mac felt like a Mac again, with a solid, stable, true image that looked the same from side to side and up and down. I wasn’t trying to like it and reminding myself of the excellent specs, it just looked spectacular out of the box, and while not up to a 5k iMac display, pretty darn close. And the slimmer bezels and design look a lot better in room than the industrial, if non-offensive matte black plastic of the BenQ, which looked bulky and harsh. So back goes the BenQ. I don’t argue with the many excellent reviews, again when playing full screen video it looked great coming from 1080p. But I’m glad I upped my price limit and got the LG instead. IPS looks so much better to my eyes.

> 3 dayThe picture quality is stunning for an IPS LCD, as well as the 3 HDMI ports, thin bezels, as well as the different implementations of HDR. Looks great for gaming as well for business. Cant go back to a regular 8 bit color LCD. Blacks are deep, whites are paper white and uniform. Although the monitor will need calibration (via your graphics driver or windows). Once complete though the color is very vivid and isnt over saturated.

> 3 dayAside from daily uses, this monitor is excellent for streaming movies and shows. The speakers are very good and the headphone jack is a very nice feature. Adjustments to the picture and sound are easy to access and to understand. An excellent monitor and an excellent value.

> 3 dayI ordered a pair for to use for work (software development) and they get the job done but its hard to get excited about them. For context, I cared about having a lot of screen space and not much else, and thats pretty much the only reason these arent getting a 1 star review. They are indeed 4K monitors and physically large so the resolution is great. That said, between the two with the _exact_ same settings theres a noticeable difference in color temperature when moving something from one screen to the other. Theyre very bright, but tend to look a little washed out and fiddling with settings has yet to fix this. Color accuracy is poor. Theres a little light bleed on the edges, nothing terrible but not amazing. Theres also a distinct flicker at time, although I dont know if this is truly the monitor or something about my setup, all the other issues have been consistent when using a different computer to drive the displays, the flicker only happens when driving them through a docking station, so that might be the stations fault. So in short if you want a big 4K monitor that gives you a lot of screen realestate at a good price, go for it. For my use case they get the job done. Would not recommend for gaming or cinema or really anything where picture quality beyond legible type is important.

> 3 dayI had high hopes for the 32 4K BenQ HDR that is supposed to have more colors because of 10 bit. But its really not that great. Im surprised they get such good reviews. I have an ASUS 32 PQ321 from a few years back. Side by side you can really see the BenQ is not that great. Viewing angles are TERRIBLE, you move your head from side to side in front of it, or especially up and down, it CHANGES the brightness/contrast. I dont get that from the Asus. I thought the BenQ was going to be my new main monitor but no, went back to the ASUS and just kept the BenQ as a secondary monitor for email etc. Its ok for secondary duties for the price, so not sending it back. HDR seems pointless, I get more contrast and deep blacks and colors on the old ASUS. If I turn HDR off its washed out so I do keep it on. Whatever B.I.+ is thats useless too, just makes it washed out. Have tried all the settings. From below viewing angle, its matching my ASUS prettty well but as soon as I stand up it washes out. So if it werent for the bad changes with viewing angles, it would be ok - at least as good. But yeah, not that impressed. 2 stars for being better than SCEPTRE $200 POC i got a few months ago. Just dont try to skimp on monitors if youre doing professional work. :/

> 3 dayIve had the monitor for about a month and the screen quality has been excellent for both movies and console gaming. This isnt my first BenQ and it wont be my last. I am using last gen console Xbox One S and PS4 Pro. I dont have the new consoles yet so i dont how they would do on this monitor but I do recommend for those playing on last gen consoles.

Greater than one weekThis monitor is a must have for console gamers. The 4k clarity is great, and the HDR makes colors really pop! In a dark room the screen is more than bright enough. In a brightly lit room, its on par with most TVs. It also makes a great 4k computer monitor as well, only 60hz so not best for PC gaming, but a very nice general purpose PC monitor. Not the best build in speakers, but thankful it even has them.

> 3 dayI just received this monitor and I was very pleased with the ease of setting it up and the picture quality. I connected it to my MacBook Pro using the included Usb-C cable. The size of the display (32) is impressive, the clarity and brightness are superb. I am extremely pleased with my purchase, especially since I originally saw another comparable BenQ display for $1100. I didnt want to spend that much, and fortunately I didnt need to. This one is perfect!

> 3 dayVisual quality is great. Works with my PS5 very well. No ghosting, input latency is very low. HDR could be brighter but it’s a good monitor for the price. Pretty big size, make sure you have space on your desk.
